The actual “Killing Joke” portion was a well done adaptation of the graphic novel. The preceding Batgirl/Batman feature seemed out of character for both.

Just a warning for parents, not a movie for children. That being said, it is a good story with some fantastic animation. Mark Hamill once again shines as the Joker.

I loved this animated movie, and I typically don't like them. I loved Mark H.'s voicing of the Joker in this movie. The script was kind of weak at times, and it took a bit out of the enjoyment of watching this pivotal DC story line. I wish someone would kill the Joker off for good because he's really a piece of human trash. I wish someone in the asylum would knock him off because I'm tired of his nastiness being in the DC universe. We need another arch nemesis for Batman.

DC finally brings the graphic novel to the screen. Expanding the back story of Batgirl from the graphic novel, but keeping the tone and feel of the source material.

This is another great DC animated feature. Its only the second half of the move that is an adaptation of the graphic novel though. The first half is a original Batgirl story.

I had heard of this story prior. While I am more of a fan of the Marvel Universe, I wanted to pick this up and see what all the buzz was about. DC seems to do a far better job with their movies if they are animated. Seeing this makes me want to pick up a few others - very well done.

Since The Killing Joke graphic novel was released all future Joker movies,animated series, and video games is a reflection of this graphic novel. The animated movie is amazing and should be picked up by anyone who is a Batman fan. Pretty authentic and violent as the graphic novel.

This is by far one of the best DC animated movies to date. Being based on one of the all time classic graphic novels, high expectations are to be expected. Overall I think it works well and of course wish it was longer and took more liberties with the Joker instead of other characters.

This was a solid movie. Conroy is the best at Batman and of course we all know the voice of the Joker. Glad I watched it without the kiddos as the R rating is understandable.

I enjoyed the movie alot. It definitely is more adult than other animated Batman movies. I haven't read the original comic so I can't comment on how the movie compares to it.

It may not be the best animated movie, but its the best Joker stories of all time. The Best Buy exclusive collectible, was nicely crafted. I only wish it was slightly bigger.

This animated movie held true to the original comic book along with incredible dramatization and terrific animation style. Great addition to any animation library or catalog

I own the comic that this is from and is considered by many to be THE best Joker story! So important that it still resonates in the DC universe! Joker does what no other villain has or will do to the Batman! This story is still being talked about some 19 years later!

This is the best DCU animated film to date. I was blown away by the writing and the acting. Mark Hamill's performance as the Joker is nothing short of amazing. I never read the Killing Joke comic, so I can not say how close the film follows it. This is a must have for any Batman fan.

The book is one of the best Batman books of all time. I feel like they really show you what kind of a monster The Joker really is. The animated film, I felt, stayed true to the book and left me satisfied. The animation is amazing. Mark Hamill as the Joker is always a win.

The movie is fine, not one of the best ones but has great voice acting and is based on a great story. The deluxe edition packaging with the figurine and book is very cool.

Anything with Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy as Joker and Batman is always a must see. A bit slower but the dialogue is amazing. It's an adult story so be careful with kids

This was actually for my dad, who loves Batman. It was highly anticipated and from what I heard, it delivered. My dad definitely enjoyed this flick, so it's worth a watch.

Don't get me wrong, this is a decent Batman film and definitely worth a watch, it's just not the masterpiece that people seem to think the Killing Joke is. The first 25 minutes or so, while important to make you care about Batgirl, are almost completely unrelated to the rest of the film and leaves you wondering, "Why didn't they do something different?" Still, it's an enjoyable watch one time through, just don't expect to be going back to it like you would "Under the Red Hood", "Doom", or "Flashpoint".

It followed the comic book pretty closely (except for certain scenes). I love how DC comic animated DVD/Blurays have extras from their archives that relate to the story.
