Great action and story, but learning curve online

I love the WWI setting, and I found the campaign to be a great experience. But taking it online was tough, the learning curve is steep and unless you don't have a job/family it will be difficult to get up to par. But with anything, a little bit of time and you'll be just fine. But I would buy this game for the single player campaign alone, the gameplay is tight and entertaining; and the story telling is second to none (as it comes to war games) in my opinion.

Intense single player / Insane multiplayer

The single player mode is extremely intense and requires a lot of focus to succeed in all of the missions. It gives you a challenge at every turn. And it makes you feel the true pain of war. The multiplayer is complete insanitary with 32 real people competing against 30 other people in various game play. Trust me...there's no place to hide for long and death is inevitable. So CHARGE to the front lines and take out as many as you can before it's your turn!

EA has cornered the market on putting out sloppy products then selling consumers DLC to make up for the lack of content. Good ole EA is always willing to shakedown fans for every last dollar (Battlefront & Rory McIlroy PGA Tour). With Battlefield1, I know that day will come eventually. However, I was surprised how much effort was put into the campaign mode and online. This was a beautiful game, and I enjoyed the fact that it didn't seem like a cash grab.

It's another Battlefield game, but the setting is World War 1. Story mode is broken up into separate personal war stories that are quite engaging, but the attention-getter is multiplayer. Battlefield has never disappointed on its multiplayer content, including its huge maps for players to run, fly, and drive around. Going back to World War 1 is actually quite refreshing since FPS games are mostly revolved around the present and near future period.

I like this game, and I'm happy they're brought it back to WW1. Unfortunately, I really feel like it's lacking so much content especially compared to BF4. Unlocking things takes FOREVER and the rewards are really unsatisfying. They could have added some more sights, as well. Menu is bad. Game play is good and involving. But there is a huge deficit in content and I find myself only playing 1-8 games and then not coming back to it for a week or more.

Bits of actual history and great play mechanics combine with gorgeous graphics in BF1. Bayonet charges are one of my favorite attacks when the battles are close quarters. I have found some cheating on the the EA servers during various games - like some joker kills me with a single shot from an M1911 from 250 yards... Really?! Usually the same few people. That detracts from the game play quite a bit. Best when playing with a group of friends.

    Re-imagined FPS Multiplayer

Battlefield 1 has fantastically reimagined the way that online FPS games are played. With new "sentry kits" allowing for players to receive a competitive advantage over enemy teams, to large maps with dynamic and destructible environments, it changes the way the game is played... even when you play the same map multiple times in a session. With Battlefield 1, no two matches are alike.

The graphics, sound, and gameplay are all incredible. With the new operations mode, for me none of the other modes are worth playing anymore it's such a great concept. That being said there are only 4 operations to choose from and after you put some good hours into the game it leaves it a bit repetitive. But hey it wouldn't be EA if the game was fully complete leaving no room to sell content that already should have been there in the first place.

It's battlefield and controls feel like battlefield. I am not a big fan of world war 1 or 2 games so I knew I wasn't going to be that into it. But that said it's fun, and I like the short stories if different locations. I had one glitch in flying story where it got stuck and the last enemy disappeared so I couldnt finish sequence. So I had to start over from the checkpoint. 60fps is awesome and graphics are amazing. Played on PS4 pro and 4k tv.

Battlefield 1 exploits a lot of tribulation that soilders were going through in the campaign mode. It also takes you to different spots in the world, where the battles were happening. Havnt played the multiplayer because I havent had time recently to play video games what so ever. But I played the beta & it looked & played fairly well. So there's really no bad side to this game. The battlefield series is one if a kind shooter & i respect that.

I am a hardcore gamer I'll be up all night online going in. But the past few call of duty have disappointed me. I have been looking for a good old run and gun game. This is it. I love this game. It is surreal the graphics are awesom the game play is great. This game is harder starting off. Call of duty is like an arcade mode style game versus battle field one is more on the realistic side of it. Well as realistic as a game can be of course.

My first introduction to the Battlefield series was with Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for Xbox and Xbox 360, it sure has come a long glorious way from then but still awesome. The WWI time seemed interesting and wondered how it'd be pulled off but they nailed it and even gives you a history lesson along with great gameplay. The multiplayer is incredible and feels great, I play a lot of Call of Duty and didn't find it hard at all to adjust.

I had picked up a preorder of COD: IW and hated it after 2 hours of struggling through twitch gameplay. To justify buying a year of PS+, I picked up BF1 and was not disappointed. The first 10 minutes of this game had me hooked and drawn in far deeper than any of my time with COD. The online is massive and addicting with so much more to offer than just hunting down the n00bs. I've now pledged my allegiance to the Battlefield franchise.

Battlefield is a compelling, heart wrenching, and fantastic journey that every gamer should experience! It was one of the most realistic games I have ever played, graphically and gameplay. I highly recommend playing it on the PS4 Pro, but whatever system you play it on, it will be an experience you never forget! Only received four stars because the single player campaign is too short, but the multiplayer options quickly make up for it.

One is a great title name, I feel this is the most refined and detailed BF experience to-date. Very well designed maps. Campaign stories are great. Operations multiplayer is a cool new game mode. Tons of authentic weapons and vehicles. If your not into all the futuristic weapons and sci-fi type games this is the ONE ! Regardless this was the number one selling game in October for a reason. Buy yours today and join the battle ! Must have

I played Battlefield a few years ago and I enjoyed it so much. Unfortunately, this new installment of Battlefield is nothing like what I remember. The main menu is very confusing and I can never tell which mission should be played next since you can jump from one campaign to another. Also, this game is very dark which makes it difficult to see your enemy. Playing online seems a bit better but I would not recommend this game to others.

I wasn't expecting much from this game, just a typical fps shooter. Battlefield surpassed my low expectations completely! They literally make you feel like you're in WWI, and got me so interested that I began even doing self-learning on WWI. Getting use to the old-style weapons is tough, having come from COD weapons, but its fun to learn how to use them. Online play is difficult, but luckily there is offline story mode. Great game.

Been playing Battlefield since the original 1942. There's something different about BF1 I can't quite put my finger on, and it isn't good in my book. It's a little too chaotic. No matter the game mode or map, it's just dying right after spawning. Over and over. It definitely scratches the itch of feeling like you're in the middle of a war as DICE is known to do audio-wise, but I just can't get into this one. Back to BF4 I go.

I kept playing this one purely for the story, although its gotten great reviews across the board, it just didn't keep me entertained as a gamer. Excellent stories and graphics but I found it to be nothing more than a game to pass the time, not one I couldn't wait to play more of. I'm a fan of Tomb Raider, Dishonored 1 + 2, Last Of Us and Max Payne as well as most of the CODs but this one just didn't keep me coming back for more.

Battlefield 1 is a great game. The story mode breaks the usual singular savior storyline and actually tries to relate some stories relevant to World War 1. It's not completely successful, but make you feel and think a little while still having fun. Good job. The multiplayer, which builds more off of Star Wars Battlefront than previous Battlefield games, is still great, with tons of modes and opportunities to play in different ways.
