    Amazing Single Player campaign

Finally, a battlefield game with a great single player campaign. It is broken into 6 different stories. It is so refreshing to go back in time (WWI) with boots on the ground and not all the nonsense technology you find in the new futuristic games. Great graphics, great sound. Addictive multiplayer. Do expect to pay more if you want to get the premium maps that will add more multiplayer maps as they are released over the period of one year. The premium maps are currently sold separately.

Picked this up on Black Friday for $30, and it was worth every penny. Everything in this game is amazing, the multiplayer is nearly flawless with its beautiful maps, game modes and huge selection of vehicles, classes and weapons. The combat mechanics don't feel to clunky and feels just right. And the story mode was great, the intense battles kept me immense and the cutscenes are true lay stunning. And to top it all off, the game is by far one of the best looking games on PS4.

The summary says it all. In this genre, COD has been king for quite some time. Or should I say WAS. The graphics are amazing in Battlefield 1, but what sets it apart is the actual storyline. Campaign story goes through various characters, in result, a story being told from various vantage points. Multiplayer is really where this game shines. Operations is the ONLY way to enjoy line play. Vast maps, the use of various vehicles, and the challenges are sure to make you agree.

It's another Battlefield game, but the setting is World War 1. Story mode is broken up into separate personal war stories that are quite engaging, but the attention-getter is multiplayer. Battlefield has never disappointed on its multiplayer content, including its huge maps for players to run, fly, and drive around. Going back to World War 1 is actually quite refreshing since FPS games are mostly revolved around the present and near future period.

One is a great title name, I feel this is the most refined and detailed BF experience to-date. Very well designed maps. Campaign stories are great. Operations multiplayer is a cool new game mode. Tons of authentic weapons and vehicles. If your not into all the futuristic weapons and sci-fi type games this is the ONE ! Regardless this was the number one selling game in October for a reason. Buy yours today and join the battle ! Must have

Battlefield 1 is a great game. The story mode breaks the usual singular savior storyline and actually tries to relate some stories relevant to World War 1. It's not completely successful, but make you feel and think a little while still having fun. Good job. The multiplayer, which builds more off of Star Wars Battlefront than previous Battlefield games, is still great, with tons of modes and opportunities to play in different ways.

I have played several of the Battlefield games in the past and have enjoyed them and this one is also very good. I thought the single player campaign was very well done. The story, graphics, gameplay and audio are well done. Except on rare occasions, I don't like to play games online because I find them too chaotic and there is no story so I can't comment on this game's online content.

This game kind of blew me away. I didn't expect the graphics to be so good but it seems the PS4 keeps evolving. It also helps that I have a 4K OLED TV. This game is what you'd expect from a Battlefield game, certainly a lot better than hardline. The campaign is excellentyl written, and the multiplayer is on point. I wasn't sure about the WW1 scenario but it's pretty awesome.

I'm so glad that battlefield stepped up and made a great first person shooter. The graphics are awesome the story is good and game is fun to play. Multiplayer is also very fun to play. I was a call of duty fan but ever I don't like futuristic first person shooters. So no more COD. This game filled the void. Haha. (Playing on a PS4 PRO with a Samsung 65" 4K SUHD with HDR)

Bought this for the PS4 Pro and it's absolutely stunning. Played through the short but super fun campaign then traded it in to get it for PC to play multiplayer. If you're hesitating on this game, just do it it's absolute madness and a ton of fun. "All out war" is right, putting you through different times, stories, and in all the craziness of WWI.

Nothing beats the graphics, online, and campaign of Battlefield 1. The game at first may be challenging to play online without any previous experience. However, after a run through of the campaign, multiple weapons and vehicles are explained. Easily beats all of the COD games in the last 5 years. I recommend this game to all of my friends.

Using the old weapons............ thought it would be a pain......found out different, they work just fine. The maps are outstanding, so much detail and they are huge. Parties are a hoot, you can be in a party and some of your party can be on the opposing team and you can still talk to everyone. Can't wait for the new maps.

I have played every Battlefield game that has released on PS3,PS4 respectfully. Battlefield 4 was my favorite one, though broken and buggy since launch, after numerous patches they finally fixed it. Thankfully Battlefield 1 is nothing like 4 was, I didn't play it at launch as I recently just received it and absolutely loved how polished this game is, campaign is all I care about so no multilayer review here. It's a little short for singleplayer game length but very enjoyable and informative if you, like myself, haven't brushed up on your war history info. Buy this game, you won't regret it it if you love shooters.

A review of the single player campaign

As someone who play games mainly for the single player, I'll be reviewing the single player portion of Battlefield 1. Battlefield games traditionally have lousy single player stories. For BF1, the story fares better. The single player is broken down into five separate stories that follows the war from five perspectives: a British tank driver, an American pilot, an Italian elite soldier, an Australian message runner, and a Bedouin rebel. Most stories have four missions though some have only two. The stories for each are so brief that you don't really have enough time to bond with each character. Nevertheless, you're given enough to care about their mission, see their personalities, and understand their motivation. Gameplay wise, the story missions are diverse with the range of tactics you use. While most missions are really linear, some of them take a more sandbox approach with how you approach your objective. What's great about the single player is that it helps prepare you for the multiplayer game if you're interested in that aspect. The sound design and graphics are wonderful just to note. Performance wise, framerate seems to be stable at 60 fps most of the time. If you're playing on the Pro, the resolution will constantly be 1080p as oppose to the dynamic resolution at 900p. Overall, it took me 8-10 hours to finish the campaign since I also finished all the codex (challenges) and collected all the field manuals. If you can find the game on sale, I would recommend it for the single player content though the game is a no brainer if you're into multiplayer.

The single player is fantastic and the mini stories they tell are truly interesting. The multiplayer is suberb and well tuned, and DICE absolutely nailed the sound and feel of world war 1. I highly recommend it. Oh and the horses are dope.

    Best Shooter I've Played Years

The title says it all. I've played call of duty every year from the original (maybe the best single player ever), and my shooter history goes all the way back to wolfenstein in the early 90s. This rounds up the better aspects of most shooters available. The single player has a fresh take on story: You don't play a campaign to determine the outcome of the war, but rather a set of stories from the point of view of various soldiers fighting in different ways. Excellent. Multiplayer: You have all the standard modes and standard-seeming classes, but there is a lot of depth here. The class system is deep, balanced, and adds a bunch of strategy. You want to run around and shoot people in the face go for assault, you want to help the team and be the key to winning go for medic. Don't forget you get some of the best sniper play in gaming, and you can rock some awesome power in the support class. And let's not forget the game modes. Operations is the most war-like shooting I've ever played. Very cool... Best shooter in years
