Battlefield 1 is a great game. The graphics look great and have a lot of detail. The "campaign" really isn't a campaign, they are just war stories that don't intertwine. They are fun though, and help you get used to the game and weaponry. It only takes you around 5 hours to go through all of them. Multiplayer is a blast, but challenging. Battlefield is more realistic when it comes to war compared to call of duty. I found it to more challenging which I enjoyed but disliked at the same time. I quickly became addicted to online multiplayer and then I became bored the whole game itself. Im multiplayer became too repetitive. I would of liked to have seen a real story mode campaign and split screen multiplayer. I would definitely recommend at least giving it a try

I went into my local Best Buy and purchased this game. Such a fun game. The best multiplayer and story mode I have played in a long time. The sound quality is unreal. The graphics are nuts.

This game has a decent single player campaign mode but it really shines on multiplayer. This game is beautiful and the huge maps make for endless fun. You will not get tired of this game.

Definitely the best Game in the series. The graphics are outstanding and gameplay is amazing as always. The story/campaign mode is different in the fact that it's a bunch of random missions as different people that aren't really connected. Multiplayer is best in class!

I've been a moderate fan of battlefield before but this game really blew the others out of the water. Great maps, new mode, large weapon variety and a pretty good (if short) campaign.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but the single player campaign is fantastic. You are put in the shoes of four different characters that are fighting on four different fronts of the war. The stories were very well done, and the best I've played in the genre. Highly recommend!

This game is so much better than call of duty. You definitely need a lot more strategy to play the multiplayer on this game. I love the huge maps and the giant player was player mode.

I was told to get this game from friends who play online. I was a huge fan of the older Call of Duty multiplayer games and didn't think that a game based in World War I era would be very fun, but I was wrong. I really enjoyed the campaign for this game though I admit it was a little short. The multiplayer is the real draw for this game. I appreciate that the online play is so massive. Compared to Call of Duty the pace is so much better in Battlefield 1. You can really strategize and take your time to play the games objectives. It's not simply run in and shoot as many enemies as possible.

The story mode is great. Having a game based off true events makes the story moments more meaningful, and lasting. But the best part about the game is the multiplayer. the maps are huge, and you can get up to 64 players in a match. The terrain and buildings gets demolished throughout the battles, which adds to the feeling of chaos. The developers did a great job of making you feel immersed in the game. If you're deciding between CoD, and this game, I would go with Battlefield. I like the World War 2 setting, and think it brings back a 'realness' that has been lacking in recent multiplayer shooters.

Truly a big improvement from the past few BF games. Gorgeous and fun. DICE have done something great with this franchise, went far back to WWI rather than continue the futuristic trend in FPS games and look at how it turned out. The story is somewhat short and decent but the MP has a ton to do and bloody fun. If you love old wars or modern shooters or you're into any shooter and the time period does not matter, pick this game up at full price or when a deal comes up, I did, got it for $27 online, quick grab. I would have gladly picked it up at $60 or rather $52 (GCU) but it is what it is.

The folks behind the Battlefield franchise have always tried to be different with their First-Person Shooters. From using Frostbite for a more interactive environment to exploring fireteam co-op play and expanded online participation to bringing these sensibilities to urban law enforcement, DICE and EA have pushed the boundaries. This was my first experience with the very popular Battlefield franchise, so I was excited to experience the first-person gameplay from a historical perspective. So many games in the genre' have explored WWII and modern warfare (wink wink) and SciFi, so it was brilliant that DICE and Electronic Arts looked to The Great War for inspiration. Playing through the aptly titled Battlefield 1 brings to light the gruesome nature of the War to End All Wars by exploring the courageous exploits of actual participants and units, including the Harlem Hellfighters and Lawrence of Arabia with his band of Bedouin Rebels. The beautifully rendered visuals instantly draw the player into the action and explore the war fighting technology of the day. I prefer games to maintain the first-person vantage when operating vehicles, but Battlefield 1 pulls out to RPG-style third person when flying bi-planes or riding horseback. Oddly, operating the tank remains first-person. I have not played online; only the campaign. Gameplay is consistent with other FPS titles. You're confined by borders on the map with specific tasks to achieve to complete a mission. Within those borders, you can go practically anywhere and everywhere, in and out of doors and windows, off of roofs and towers, not just where the authors want you to. This allows you to strategize and engage enemies as you wish and the game knows the difference in hard and soft cover. Changes in lighting as you enter and exit buildings are realistic as your virtual eyes "adjust" to the change and use of binoculars play an important role in being stealthy. Controller button mapping is almost identical to other games, so the learning curve is practically flat. I can't say enough about how beautiful Battlefield 1 is for PS4. In-game graphics are just as impressive as cut scenes, though the CG animation of the cut scenes is cinema quality. Actor performances play a big part in the immersive enjoyment of any game and this cast is excellent. I play on a 55" Sony 4k XBR LED TV, but I don't have a PS4 Pro, so the TV upscales the native HD. The Pro console would only improve on the experience. I would insist that Battlefield 1 is a MUST for any fan of FPS games. Don't expect much action playing as the handsome man from the cover artwork. He doesn't feature much in the game.

April 19, 2019 Dbuy from Pecos, Texas Nice Features, good graphics, good sound and a feature I liked very much of reviving the killed character at a location completely different from where he was killed. So, as you approach the same mission, you are doing so from a new location. You do not play over the same circumstances that got you killed in the first place. Nice feature. Does take some getting used to at the beginning as it gives the appearance of not having a campaign, but you have to stick with it.

With the recent years of CoD and other games being all futuristic or modern settings, Battlefield 1 gave everyone a change in setting that we all wanted and one that hasn't really been touched: World War I or The War to End All Wars. Campaign is amazing - great voice actors and cinematics, very dramatic and shows you how brutal it was during that time. Multiplayer great as always - can't go wrong with classical 64 player Conquest. Yes people complain labour there being too many SMGs and Machine Guns compared to more Bolt Action, but I love it and feels amazing nonetheless.
