    Glitched, unplayable, constantly freezing...

I'm a big BattleField fan. I was excited for this installment of the series, but I did resist preordering. I bought it just a couple of days after it's release for the xbox 360 console. Playing through the campaign was okay. The story was lacking though & the ending was a little subpar in my opinion. After I finished it I discovered none of my campaign saves were registering for multiplayer unlocks. No biggie though. So after a few days of grinding online I begin to notice my xbox was freezing AT LEAST 4 times a day. It has been ever since I bought it. Checking the forums I found out it was happening across all platforms. Campaign glitching, freezing, rubber-banding, d/c's, disc errors, just to name a few. I know that all modern games will always have bugs at release, especially when the beta is only a few weeks long, but this is absolutely disappointing. Not being able to join friends in pre-game squads is a BIG issue. We all work and after a long day we usually hit each other up online but not with this game. Occasionally we can join up for a quick match but then boom, freeze - disconnect - restart - lobbies full. I was expecting bugs but nothing to this scale. If your looking to continue playing on the BattleField I suggest you wait AT LEAST 6 months then check the forums before buying the game and premium. As for me this game is probably going to be traded in until the next-gen bugs are fixed sometime around winter next year...

    Best FPS out this Fall

I bought this game last month and it is the better of the two major FPS out there. There are a lot more weapons this time and there are more games modes for each type of player. If you like Run and Gun...you can do that...if you like to play strategically you can do that as well. The leveling up in this game is faster with the Battle pack feature that allows you to get xp boosts randomly and if you are a premium member you get a gold battle pack each month. The customization is better than BF3,but there are some things I would like to see added. The sound in this game is GREAT....especially with a headset. The things that do irk me in this game are.....the menus are glitchy. They also have this blur issue going on and it annoys me as well. They is no way to talk to your entire team as far as I can tell. The squad Voip works well. The commorose feature allows you to communicate to your team your needs without a headset. I have had the game freeze up twice on me...BUT my xbox did freeze up on me during other games as well. The game is currently on sell for $35.00...well worth the price for a solid FPS if you are tired of CoD and want something different.

Campaign seems to work good (for me anyways) but Multiplayer needs work. When starting out in a tank or mobile vehicle there is no engine sound for the first 5-7 seconds but after that it's fine and the sound effects are even better than BF3, IMO. Graphics are very good too. Colorful and detailed maps. For $59 retail EA & Dice should have had the bugs worked out before releasing it, and these problems have absolutely nothing to do with the XBOX not be able to keep up with everything the games graphics and the Frostbite Engine are throwing at it as one reviewer stated. Compare your consoles hardware to the games system requirements shown on the back of the case and you'll conclude this is a software issue. The XBOX ONE, PS3 and PS4 have reviews stating the same problems. I'm an online gamer most of the time that's why I gave it two stars. Hopefully with a few updates these multiplayer problems will be a thing of the past. I would recommend to a friend (who has patience) because it will come into it's own eventually.

Really fun game. Better than Call of Duty Series

I have been playing the Call of Duty series for years, and it's basically the same thing ever year with a little bit of tweaks here and there. They are hard to level up in because they always release a new one every year, making the one before it nearly obsolete. Battlefield 4 was able to fill my shooter need while also allowing me to drive in vehicles. Highly recommend this game if you can find it on sale, considering that they are releasing a new game into their series soon, Hardline. I will definitely be buying more Battlefield games and stop buying Call of Duty series games. Out with the old, in with the new for me. And with the lag, that happens with all games that one plays online. DICE is pretty good at patching online game play errors though.

The game is a lot of fun to play. The graphics are of the highest quality. Just be warned that some of what they claim for premium is not what you are purchasing. You are told that you will be automatically at the top of the waiting queue for multiplayer. Well there is no waiting queue. You just get server is full and have to keep trying. You are supposed to be able to play the expansion packs before non premium members. This seems to not be the case. The first expansion pack was due to be out for premium players 3 days ago and you still cannot play any of the new maps. Yet, EA and Dice state China Rising has been released to premium players. In Reality this is not the case. For the game plus premium you will pay over $100.00 with no advantages.

    Multi Player Format Review

I have only played the multi-player aspect of this game so my comments are directed towards that portion of the game. I love the use of vehicles on every map. The ability to play as the squad leader and assign tasks, then receive individual and team achievements is a unique trait that adds more incentive to play as an organized squad. An innovative feature is the ability to use an app on your smart phone to access stats and modify your character. Some downside to BF4 are the issues with the game freezing from time to time, servers crashing or not having the ability to even get into a server at all. One minor annoyance is the inability to change the load out of your character unless in your are actually in a match or you use an app on your smart phone.

For a xbox 360 game it's actually pretty dam good the graphics are on point. The gameplay is very fun just need to get use to it, there's so many guns and different things you can do in the game. The game modes are so fun and entertaining It's actually hard for it to get boring. The game is great on 360 but Xbox one version is just soooo much better graphics is better the frame rate is twice as more then 360, it runs so smooth and the best part is the xbox one can hold up to 62 players in one game. But still if your stuck with 360 console for now get the game it's worth it trust me . I chose bf4 over cod ghost this year, I've played both games and bf4 was just so satisfying.

I don't know what's with all these people blaming their upgrade to new console issues or just the system issues of the Xbox freezing. I've never had an issue with freezing.. But this game is amazing. Its the best one in the series in my opinion. The recon is a blast. If your I to sniping then its a must. If your a COD fanboy you probably won't like this game. This game is straight team tactics. Communicate on the MIC if you want a better K\D. The campaign is unlike what I've played before in fps games. Its definitely worth more then 60$!!!

Battlefield 4 offers insanely realistic graphics and audio, probably the best in the market. The campaign was so amazing, really surpassed Battlefield 3's by a long shot. It was a super realistic experience, and the storyline is very interesting. Whereas Battlefield 3 surpassed Battlefield 4's multiplayer, B4 makes up for it with it's campaign. Planning to buy Call of Duty? Nope, get Battlefield 4 instead, a much better experience. The only problems are the glitches and freezing. I guess the graphic intensity is a lot, so the game tends to freeze up at certain points. Hopefully a patch will be released and EA will fix this up! But it is all worth it!

I have purchased this game because battlefield 3 was a good game. I tend to play story mode for a few days then venture onto the online xbox live team play. This game isn't for your kids, 6,7,8,9,10- 15. Nobody wants to hear your kids playing this game it makes us mad that you allow them to play it. It's graphic and violent. They rate these games accordingly. Please read and research the games your buying. So that being said. Online play is really great but the story mode I think is lacking something. But most gamers purchase this to be able to run around killing there friends anyway.

He also gives me the best single-line description of the online FPS experience I've ever heard. "Multiplayer is chaos in a sandbox with a lot of tools," he says. And he's right, of course. That's why DICE makes some of the best multiplayer shooters on the planet. That's why this launch event feels like a big tease; a nod and a wink toward more profound revelations. We'll have to take that for now. Such is the industry – we don't know what to do, we're always in the dark. 'Turn around bright eyes', they're saying, 'we're not ready to talk about that right now'.

fun and challenging gameplay. one thing I don't like is how my campaign keeps on corrupting and I have to restart. One other thing I don't like is how all the controls are messed up and you have to change everything. One more thing I hat is how the helicopter moving controls are both analog sticks. I am a big GTA 5 player and I am used to using one analog stick so it wrecks my gameplay because I cant even get above the ground and stay there.

I am a long time COD player and I decided to switch it up and try BF4. I noticed the shooting is much harder but more realistic. If your are looking for something different and more real then COD I would try this. The graphics don't seem as good as the commercials and the lighting seems off a little. I will continue to play until COD comes out and have better judgement but as of now i'm looking forward to the new COD.

I come from Call of Duty and Halo, and have never played Battlefield before. After COD: Ghosts came out, my friends and I were left looking for our new game. After a recommendation of BF4 we decided to try it. While we occasionally play Ghosts, Battlefield has become our new go-to game. There are a lot of things better in BF than COD, but the learning curve has been somewhat steep for me. I was only average at COD.

I have been playing Call of Duty for many years and just tried Battlefield 4 for the first time. There was a learning curve but it is still a good first person shooter if you are looking for something different. Nothing stands out above the Call of Duty series except for the maps are MUCH larger and there are of course vehicles. Definitely a solid game, but average when comparing to other first person shooters.

Won't play on an XBOX 360 slim

It will not load on a xbox 360 slim. EA techs told me that they received a lot of on line chats about the game not loading, but they still refused to give a refund. They said I must go buy a separate hard drive. The sale people at the store did not know it requires a separate hard drive. They said to just go delete all my games. It still didn't work when I had 2.8 GB free memory.

When I opened the package the disk was damaged and the game did not work. I took it back to Best Buy but they would not even exchange the game for a new one because it had been opened. This makes absolutely no sense and I am sorry to say that I will never purchase a game from Best Buy again.

Game was fun enough to play on campaign. The game does not have much game feel and you feel like you are floating (much like Halo as opposed to Gears of War.) I prefer the feel of Gears of War and Call of Duty where you feel the game more. This game has good weapons selections and multiplayer is more fun than the campaign.

I have the 4 GB Xbox 369 and couldn't play this. The game requires a 2gb update that can only be installed on the hard drive. It won't work on 4gb xbox at all even if you have the space. I didn't see this postred anywhere in the description of the game. I basically just threw away my money on a game I can't plat
