Customers are saying

Customers praise Battlefield V's excellent gameplay, immersive maps, and the generally positive reception of its action-packed nature. While some found the campaign to be short, many appreciated the game's realism and considered it a good value for the price. Concerns were raised regarding the presence of bugs and a perceived lack of content at launch, particularly within the single-player experience. The difficulty level also proved divisive, with some players finding it challenging.

If you are a Battlefield franchise player, you will like this game better than Battlefield 1. It runs smoother, better graphic visuals, and more weapons.

A Classic FPS with Something for All

Battlefield V is a classic WWII FPS with the classic Battlefield features along with some new. I am huge fan of the Battlefield 1 War Stories, so I was excited to see them return. The stories in Battlefield V are great, but a bit short of Battlefield 1 and seems there was more concern of having an open battlefield to play in than ensuring a strong story. With that, the stories are still good and I recommend to anyone who enjoys FPS single player campaigns to play Battlefield V's. A unique feature I enjoyed is surviving the cold of a winter's night and having to go from fire to fire to stay alive, while having to be aware of enemies in parallel. Additionally, I was surprised to see this, but happy they included it, which is a story from a German soldier's perspective towards the end of the war as the Allie forces advance into German. This isn't common, but I am glad they put the effort into capturing more than the generic WWII stories. The multiplayer is very fun with decent progression and access to enjoyable weapons early on. With larger maps, the pacing is better balanced verses the large maps in Battlefield 1, due to the technology of the time. The plane combat takes a little time to learn, but once mastered it is fun, with the bombing runs being extremely satisfying ad you see what remains and the impact you have on the outcome of the match. Overall if you enjoy FPS games for either the single player campaigns or the multiplayer, I recommend that you check out Battlefield V.

I've been a Battlefield fan since Battlefield Bad Company. I love the series for its realistic environments and weapons. Battlefield V isn't horrible but it isn't great, either. It's a work in progress. The campaign (the War Stories) never really deliver making me feel like I am part of a soldier in a large war. In fact, compared to the previous Battlefields, I feel more confined and wanted to break free in order to really explore and engage in battle. And yes, I am aware of the controversy of how the stories are portrayed etc. but that's not here or there. The multiplayer is where the heart is with this game. All the features and modes that have normally launched with past installments are missing but will be implemented by Spring. I don't know why EA/Dice didn't release this as a complete game. Sure, there is free content (maps and modes) on the way but that doesn't excuse that it was released incomplete compared to other games. The visuals are impressive as always and are complemented with the sharp sound effects that immerse the player. The hit detection and time to kill tug or war which are continually being updated. I think the players will have to explore what modes are right for him or her. For its current low price, I think players will be more forgiving for the shortcomings but will be reward down the road with the DLC and updates.

Gameplay is still relatively great however the campaign sucks, skips real stories that were more significant, only released with 3 out of 4 stories compared to BF1's 6 for 6 war stories. Multiplayer has the same fundamental gunplay and is good but loading times, glitches, and bugs, waste a ton of my time. Especially when I have to wait for someone to revive me, feels like they just couldn't fix what happened during the Beta.

Having played Battlefield Games since Battlefield 1942 as a Kid, I’ve been always been a huge fan of the series. I wasn’t expecting much going into this purchase other than it’ll be a more recent version of BF1 with WW2 Guns. However I’m pleasantly surprised with how good it is. I’m yet to play the single player, but the multiplayer is amazing! Sure it has a few bugs here and there, but I have full faith these will be ironed out in the upcoming updates! Must buy for any FPS lover!

I was very excited to see what battlefield had done with their campaign but, it just felt like a jumbled mess of a story. You will not get attached to the characters and the campaign is a little more than 2 hours long. The multiplayer was the best thing about the game. Don’t expect to play the battle royale mode as it’s set to release in spring of 2019.

battlefield V continues the great tradition of being a great fps. the story mode is great and so is the multiplayer. hands down it is one of the better shooters out there even now with battlefield 2042 and COD games out. I recommend it to anyone who likes a slower pace game where you dont have to respawn every minute.

Bought this game because I wasn’t happy with the direction COD was going. The campaign was cool in the way that it was several stories versus one big story. Their battle royale mode though, took forever to get into a game and just felt slow paced compared to others I’ve played. Game was fun, but made me realize how tired of WWI and WWII Games I am

Works on the PS5. Great graphics. Has 4 big missions, Call of Duty fashion. Easy mode seemed like hard mode. Variety of weapons; takes 3-4 shots to put down a bad guy. Not totally open world; easy to go out of bounds; have 9 seconds to get back inbounds. Overall a good game, could be better.

Now that the battle royal mode is out, BF5 is fully complete. The game is fun, but I would recommend playing with friends for a better experience. The Story mode is interesting, basically war stories are back from BF 1. The multiplayer is okay, and the battle royal is decent. I feel like there are just to much battle royal games out there right now.

I love this game with a passion!! I hated Battlefield 1 I loved battlefield 2,3,4, and bad companies THis game is more like the bad compaines than anything. amazing map design and graphics. great diversity of guns. The scopes and upgrading of weapons are weak though. single player a complete joke. No story. excited about all the free new content like maps guns and coop

Gunplay is fun and many of the game modes are enjoyable. However, there are an above average amount of bugs, some balance issues, and missing content at launch. I have to give them credit for including a singleplayer however. Buy this game on sale and it will be a great value since they will patch the issues and the game's dlc is all free.

This is the year I finally gave up on COD because I hate the direction they went in with the series of Black Ops. This game is phenomenal in every aspect and I love the huge maps and versatility of game play. The graphics are a plus and the all out war is great as well.

A very different yet Battlefield game that almost feels easier compare to previous games. Gameplay is decent and easy to pick up, content (as of now compare to launch) is good but somewhat heavily monetized. This game has a lot more cosmetics for purchase than any previous game but not needed.

Don't buy this game for firestorm. Don't buy this for single player. Buy it for multiplayer. I like BF1 more but BFV isn't so bad either. If you like FPS and want something different than what CoD offers, give this game a try.
