A fashion accessory which loses value

Let me preface this review with some context. I've owned many a pair of headphones, I will compare it to headphones in a similar price point: Bose QC35's, Sony WH 1000xm2's, JBL Elite 750NC's and B&O H9's. TL;DR: They look good, connect fast with the W1 chip, have good noise cancelling (Not as good as Sony's or Bose's nc) but have below avg. mids and highs. They do ok in bass, looks and ease of use are where they excel. If you want better sound for the price, go with Sony for more bass & highs, Bose has better mids (comfort, and NC). JBL has a better overall sound spectrum but does not excel in any of them in particular. I'll keep this review concise, the comfort on the Studio 3's are pretty good, slightly better than the Sony's which are a little tighter. The band is made out of a rubber which can pull on your hair, which can be somewhat uncomfortable. The pairing process is effortless with an iPhone, the process on an android device is similar to any other bluetooth pair of headphones. Noise Canceling is the big addition to the Studios, which is rather subpar compared to the Bose, Sony and even JBL's. The build quality is rather disappointing, partially metal on the hinges which is fine, but the rest is plastic. Bose have fantastic build quality while the Sony's and JBL's are about on par. B&O have amazing build quality, full aluminum, premium leather, etc. but are also $150 more. The sound produced by the studios is similar to cheese through a cheese grater. Your car stereo system may have better quality. An unexaggerated example would be a slightly better reproduction of traditional ear buds. They get loud, but that's about it. Battery life is fine, around 20+ hrs, which about standard for these headphones, with the Sony's leading again. Final Verdict: If you want to save a penny, get the JBL's which will have better sound and NC. For the price, get the Bose QC35's or Sony WH 1000xm2's which are both more feature packed with better sound quality. If you want to spend an extra dime, the B&O's have significantly better sounding, clean and concise bass with phenomenal sound quality. Rating for iOS devices: 3/5 One star for NC, one star for the W1 Chip, one star for looks. Rating for Android devices: 2/5 One star for looks, one star for NC They don't get a star for functioning like any pair of headphones over $50 will.

Ok sound but poor quality headphones break easily

These are my first beats I've ever owned I had great expectations for the headphones at first but after 3 weeks truly disappointed the headphone when closing seems like if they are about to break any minute. I take care of my things very carefully but lets starts with the things that at first impressed me; "Seamless connections "with all your apple device through icloud you connect to one of them and it automatically connects to others well at first, then they start to present issues this is my second set of headphones beats because already had to return one of them. The solo 3 presented the same issue thats why I decided to upgrade to the studios 3. Battery life is pretty long. Quick charge only five minutes gives you over 2 hours of music. Microphone works great. Noise cancelling work pretty decent. Cons Uncomfortable for long periods of time they feel very stiff no flexibility very uncomfortable to wear over the neck Construction seems poor and haven't changed I circled over the pictures showing the places where they look like theres tear already, over the years still remember my cousin had a previous generation and in a week one of the sides felt apart thank God he was under Best Buy 14 day policy and they changed it for him. They have that punchy bass which causes them when they are in high volume if theres a lot of instruments presents in the song it will make the music sound horrible. Bottom line don't waste your money on headphones with aggressive marketing that will last you 6 months or maybe less like beats but in a company that is a legend in sound If you are looking for some good headphones and pretty sure they will last get the Bose Quiet comfort 35ll and thats truly amazing sound with a lot of detail and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time I bought these tested them side by side and is a true winner.

    Not worth it at all

Let me start out by saying what I liked about these studio3 headphones. First off if you have an iPhone it pairs perfectly right out of the box with a push of the power button. If you have an android you could run into some problems connecting as I think these headphones are made for the Apple iPhone ecosystem in my opinion. I got the shadow grey color and it really stands out as people stared at me and complimented in the gym. Now this is why I will be returning these for one reason and one reason only, the sound quality. I was extremely disappointed when I started listening to music. I'm a big hip hop listener and love bass in my music. I don't know what apple did but they completely toned down the bass dramatically and sounds low and muffed. The previous beats all had great bass and made going to the gym a real treat because I was so in the zone with them on and really felt the music like you were supposed to in the studio, hence the name. The noise canceling is great as it blocks out any outside noise, but I think it takes away from the sound quality. Just not impressed at all, and for 350 bucks they sound like hot garbage.

Good Noise Cancel, Poor Quality for the Price

I've had my Beats for about 7 months now. I've always taken very good care of my headphones, they are almost $300.00. After 5 months of usage, my headphones started to not charge unless I put the headphones in some tweaked position for the USB cable to be more taunt than just laying down. After a few months of this, they would no longer charge. How does Beat have such poor quality control? I always used the charger cable provided, and always took great care. It's a shame you're buying just a name and not higher quality. Looking at warranty repair, I'm afraid to send my headphones in! Apple's warranty seems to be, they may fix it for free or can charge me up to $199 + $7 shipping. That would be $500 I spent on a pair of headphones! No Thank You!

This review is for Studio3 wireless headphones. They were bought in February of 2017 and in March of 2018 they would not power on after being left on. Tried to charge but no light indicator came on. Brought to Apple and they said that do to a missing screw in hinge that would void the warranty, even though the problem was with the battery life. I liked the fact that I could turn volume up and down and switch songs just by pressing headphones, but the fact that the battery pooped out after a little over a year is really disappointing. The quality is definitely lacking and I would recommend an extended warranty if you plan on purchasing.

I would love to give these headphones 5stars due to me being a fan of the studio3 but unfortunately I won’t. I dint know what apple did but with this pair there is little to no bass in these headphones:( I upgraded from the original studio3 gold and I regret it smh I wish I would have tested them out before I sold my old pair so if your someone who appreciate the bass in your music/headphones this is not the headphones for you.

I picked up a pair of these on sale for $100 off. Even at the steep discount, I did not feel these headphones were worth the money and returned them. Poor sound quality, bass-heavy, distorted at higher volumes, hot and uncomfortable after extended wear, poor build quality prone to break at the headband. There are better headphones out there for the price. Shop around and don't buy just because it is a "lifestyle" brand. Buy quality instead and enjoy your music :)

Asked if the headphones that are Bluetooth would work for Windows 10 and was told yes from Best Buy in Racine, WI.. After trying to connect the Bluetooth headphones to Windows 10 it said it needed Miracast. My husband tried finding the drivers but none were to be found on the internet. So we had to return them for this reason. The headphones worked great plugged into the laptop but my husband wanted the headphones for the Bluetooth. He said they really do block outside noise and the sound is great and the separation was very good.

I replaced my original Dre beats with these produced by Apple. I was disappointed in the value vs quality of product. The volume is too low and the noise reduction is useless. The sound separation is not impressive. They are inferior to the original beats. I regret this purchase because I could have used the funds on a better product. In fact, the Apple wireless earbuds sound a lot better than these.

My son saved up most of the money to buy these Beats. He was SO excited. I was really worried that I could t buy a warranty to go with them. Now I know why... within three weeks of having them, the headphone started spreading out to the point that they barely stay on my stone ears. So, now we have a $350 set of headphone that would better fit a guerilla than an average sized person.

I had purchased the Beats Studio2 in November of last year witch I loved but they were stolen, so I was looking forward buying them again so I went and got the generation3 now made by Apple, boy what a disappointment the sound quality was and is horrible. I returned them the next day. I don’t recommend the solo3 to nobody. They have no volume or bass. Apple is ruining such nice headphones

I purchased these only to return them a couple days later. They hurt my head, the top band literally gives me a headache. The sound quality was good. The noise cancelation was good as well. All in all the Bose QC35 "beats" these hands down. The QC35's are lighter, more comfortable and much better noise cancellation. Sorry Beats but, its time for a overhaul.

Two stars for sound. While the sound is exceptional, the beats that fold up are notorious for breaking at the hinge. This is my 4th pair of beats that fold and the longest a pair lasted was 15 months. My last pair of studios lasted 10 months.

With Beats being the new must have item, they are highly disappointing. The noise reduction feature is a flaw as you can hear every single outside disturbance, the comfort is not what you would assume. Not a product that I would purchase again

Cute colors but returned because apple won’t let you purchase an extended warranty. That made me the they don’t stand behind their product enough to offer a warranty. Not worth it especially when they cost so much

I bought these because these thinking that they are Apple and Beats. I used them for a few days and was not wowed by their performance. Returned them to the story for a pair of Sony headphones. Haven’t looked back since.

I had the second generation of the studios with the batteries, loved them loud & bold these are a step down . It’s like apple took them and remade them for my grandparents. I now wear $20 wireless earbuds that sound better

Good set of headphones. My only major issue is they don’t come with the options to purchase an extended warranty. (Just the basic 1yr manufacturers warranty) and that’s it! Smh! Strongly debating returning them!

Sound is great. Problem is the charging port broke and it's expensive to fix! Not happy because of the price I've paid for these. They should be under a 1 year warranty or replaced for free.
