BAD REVIEWS, BUT NOT FROM ME!

I PURCHASED THESE HEADPHONES 3 MONTHS AGO. I WANTED TO MAKE SURE HOW I FELT ABOUT THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE CONSTRUCTION AND THAT OF THE SOUND. THIS IS MY SECOND SET OF STUDIOS. I CAN DEFINITELY HEAR A SUBSTANTIAL DIFFERENCE IN THE SOUNDS FROM MY OLD SET TO THESE. I'M HAPPY TO REPORT THAT THESE STUDIOS ARE BETTER. ALSO, I HEAR AND HAVE READ TERRIBLE REVIEWS ABOUT HOW THE "APPLE BEATS" WORK WITH ANDROID PHONES. ONCE AGAIN, I FEEL THAT IS TOTAL BULL SQUIRT! I'M USING A MOTOROLA ANDROID PHONE AND EVERYTHING HAS BEEN JUST GREAT! I PAIRED MY CELL TO THESE HEADPHONES IN LESS THAN A MINUTE! ALSO, SOMETHING I REALLY NOTICED IS HOW FAR AWAY FROM MY CELL PHONE I CAN BE. I'VE ACTUALLY LEFT MY CELL IN MY HOUSE AND WENT OUT IN MY YARD AND CUT MY GRASS! THE ANC WORKS SO WELL THAT IF I DIDN'T FEEL THE VIBRATION OF MY LAWN MOWER, I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN THAT IT WAS EVEN RUNNING! ALSO, I WENT ALL AROUND MY YARD AND NEVER, NEVER DROPPED OUT! THAT WAS A DISTANCE OF MAXIMUM 40 YARDS!! NOT FEET, YARDS!!! I MIGHT HAVE AN ANOMALY, BUT THAT'S JUST REMARKABLE FOR ANY BLUE TOOTH DEVICE! I WORE MY PHONES FOR THREE STRAIGHT HOURS AND EVEN THOUGH I SWEAT ( A LOT!! ), I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE COMFORT OF THESE STUDIOS. I WEAR GLASSES, SO I HAVE THAT BOW HANGING ALREADY ON MY EARS, BUT, THE PRESSURE OF THE HEADPHONE FIT WORKED JUST FINE. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE FROM MY PRIOR BEATS TO THESE BEATS IN OVERALL SOUND QUALITY. I HEAR MORE INSTRUMENTS THAT ARE SEPARATED BETWEEN THE LEFT AND RIGHT. THERE IS LESS OF A BASS INFLUENCE IN THIS NEW SET. THAT COULD GO EITHER WAY FOR SOME OF YOU. I FIND IT TO BE BETTER, BECAUSE I LIKE A MORE BALLANCED SOUND. IF YOU HAVE A GRAPHIC EQUALIZER SET UP IN YOUR CELL, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO ADJUST THE TYPE OF SOUND YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. I'VE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE EAR PADS SO FAR. I DID REPLACE THE EAR PADS ON MY PRIOR SET 2 TIMES OVER A 7 YEAR PERIOD. I DON'T THINK THAT IS TO AWFUL BAD. I FOUND A SITE ON THE NET WHERE YOU CAN BUY A NEW SET FOR $25.00. SO, YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH BEATS TO REPLACE THEM! I'M AN OLDER GUY, BUT I REALLY USE MY BEATS. MY WIFE TELLS ME SHE CAN'T REMEMBER HOW I LOOK WITHOUT A PAIR OF B'S SHOWING ON EACH SIDE OF MY HEAD! IF YOU NOTICE, EVEN THOUGH I LOVE MY BEATS, I DID NOT GIVE THEM 5 STARS. I HAVE ONE REGRET ABOUT THEM. I WISH APPLE WOULD FIND A WAY ( ON BEATS IV ! ), WHERE THE EAR PADS SWIVEL FLAT. IT WOULD BE BETTER FOR WEARING THEM AROUND YOUR NECK AND ALSO FOR STORING THEM. IN THE PAST, I'VE HAD HEADPHONES FROM M & D AND ALSO SONY, AND I DID HAVE THAT CONVENIENCE ON BOTH OF THOSE. SO, IN CLOSING, BECAUSE I AM OLDER, I DON'T HAVE THE FUNDS I USED TO HAVE WHEN I TRAVELED FOR WORK MORE. MY CASH FLOW IS IMPORTANT TO ME. I'M NOT GONNA SHELL OUT 350 BUCKS UNLESS I'M VERY, VERY HAPPY WITH WHAT I'M BUYING! THESE ARE DEFINITELY WORTH EVERY CENT! I'VE BEEN IN SOUND STUDIOS OVER THE YEARS AND THESE AREN'T THAT FAR FROM PROFESSIONAL SETS! I BOUGHT THE SHADOW GREY SET AND PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME WHEN I'M GOING THRU AIRPORTS HOW REMARKABLY GOOD THESE PHONES LOOK! GO BUY YOURSELF A SET, YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DID!!

    Buyers Remorse No More

I am a tech geek and also a music lover. I have had many headphones through out the years from Bose to Bluedio so i have a decent base to compare from. Let me tell you that this was an impulse buy as a gift to myself from my tax refund. So I immediately got buyers remorse and was going to return the headphones the following weekend. I honestly thought the difference from my go to work earphones (Bose QuietComfort 2) and these studio3s would not comfort my impulse decision to burn my 300$ stack. But let me tell you after joy riding these guys at the home office then at the work office I will not be returning these comfy delicious little ear-monsters. The bass response is deserving a standing ovation. the Highs are crispier then a fresh salad from ruby tuesdays (yup that one) and the voice comes through very commanding even that Nirvana song no one understands at the end... Within the first 15 minutes at work i didn't realize that i was bobbin my head to every spine tingling beat almost to an embarrassing level (almost). I have a big head and most over the ear headsets are no bueno but not only are they comfortable they are more sociably acceptable. I will warn you that they are easy to forget they are on your head because of its looooooooong battery life and its near ridiculous range. I live in a direct poor concrete home with steal beams at 2k sq feet and i can travel from one end of the home to the other with no loss of signal, but it will start to garble a little if you try to hang out or do a sit-up at that distance. So the short of the long..... buy these and you wont feel bad AFTER you use them, so give them a chance and if you don't like them after a day or two take them back then buy some cheap knock-offs because you have no soul (not kidding, soulless) oh and i would recommend these to friends, family and even that guy I don't like in IT... hate that dude

    Great headphones (for iPhone owners)!

First, the Porcelain Rose color is phenomenal. This color honestly looks great no matter what gender you are. The fit and finish is also what we've all come to expect from Beats over the years. The pairing process is as simple as the Air Pods in that you just hold them close to your iPhone and it will automatically connect - EASY! These headphones also stay paired. I'm able to walk around a 750 square foot property and leave the phone in one room and have music and phone conversations move with me seamlessly. The music quality is a bit bass heavy, which would be my only knock. I got these over the Bose QC II 35 because these were (at the time) $150 less and to me, sounded comparable. I'm not one to care about the logos on headphones, and the Bose won me over on its subtle but effective design, but for $150 difference I would wear any color on my head. The active noise cancellation is good and can be turned on and off via the bluetooth menu in iOS. Pairing to other iOS devices is a breeze as well and if you are trying to pair to Android or another platform, it's the same as any other BT device - although I don't believe you are getting the advertised battery life this way due to Apple using their proprietary W1 chip for iOS devices. Great headphones that have come a long way since their first-generation.

This is my preliminary view. I have the first general beats studio and wanted to try the beats studio 3. They look identical. The sound quality is nearly the same. The noise canceling in the 3 is slightly better. Perhaps the biggest different is that the 3 are not as bass heavy as the first-generation ones. On a side note, I have had the beats for 3 years. I had to replace the ear cups due to wear and tear. I used them for the gym for a little while but then mainly used them when I traveled (plane, car, hotel, etc.). The replacement cups were inexpensive and easy to install. I would not recommend for gym because the cups are not water resistance. The phones are a bit weighted but the ear cups feel comfortable on the ear. If you have the 1st generation or the beats 2.0, then you may not need the beats 3, unless you are one who collects headphones. I got mines for a bit over $200; I used a BB gift card. You can price match from amazon.com and Walmart. Note that price will vary according the color. The black phones tends to be a bit cheaper; these are the ones that I have. I hope this helps. Better than I've Heard

I own a couple of pair of noise-canceling headphones (Bose QC 35 II are my go-to). I had the Sony equivalent but took them back because they only connect to one device at a time. I bought the Beats to use at work because I'm always using multiple devices, and they're better than everyone said. The sound is amazing! They are louder than the Bose or the Sonys, but not without sacrificing a little clarity. What's funny is that most of the reviews I've heard or read said that they sounded "muddy," mainly because there is too much bass. I found this to be the case *until* I adjusted the equalizer settings in my iMac and phone that I use it with. I also use it to answer calls and everyone says I sound perfectly clear (I actually also own two pair of Blueparrot headsets to use for calls and the Beats are better!). For what they are, they're perfectly fine with me. I would have given them 5 stars were it not for a few glitches and a little sound distortion on some songs.

    Improved Beats Headphones

Take it from someone who used to loathe Beats by Dre headphones. This headphones is a massive improvement from what Beats used to be. I'm not saying this just because I like the headphones but they really improved the sound quality. It's not heavy with bass that muffles the whole song but now it's now balanced but still with the punchy bass. I've worn this headphones for long periods of time and I haven't felt any fatigue. The only downside I have is that when using the AUX cable, you still need to turn on the headphones. I wish they didn't require battery power when using the AUX cable. Hence why it's not a 5-star. Still I would recommend this to the average consumer looking for some great looking and good sounding headphones. Definitely not for the audiophiles though.

The Beats Studio 3 are good headphones but there are better out there for the same price range. Of course i bought these when they were on sale for the holidays. Easy pairing with Apple Products make these headphones attractive to people in the Apple ecosystem. The being said, the sound quality was okay but no app (on iPhone) to mess around with the equalizer unless you used Apple's presets or Spotify's presets/equalizer. The comfort was okay. Light weight but didn't feel right sitting on my ears. If you want your ears to be covered or inside the ear muffs look into the Sony WH-1000MX3 or Bose Quiet comfort 35 II. Nonetheless if you catch these on sale and don't want to break the bank these will do fine. If you an audiophile like me look into the Bose or Sony competitors. I ended up switching to the Sony WH-1000MX3.

Decent headphones that work GREAT with iPhones

So listen...Beats has a bad reputation for being overpriced and not sounding that great. I will admit, these do not sound as good as my V-Moda Crossfade M-100s, which I prefer in just about any genre of music to the Beats. But those aren't bluetooth and don't have a W1 chip. The reason to get these is if you want NR headphones that work great with iPhone's. The W1 chip is truly awesome, as I never have signal loss nor hear artifacts or other weird things that sometime happen with Bluetooth headphones. The noise reduction is good, and they are comfortable to wear. They simply work really great with an Apple phone, but I don't think I would buy these again if I had the choice, or if I was on Android. As for price, I paid under $200 for them on sale, and for that price I think they are okay. I would not pay full price for these as the sound quality just isn't worth it.

I have Bose QC35II, Sony WH-1000xm2 and these Beats Studio 3 and I can say that the beats are not bad for its intended use, which is with pop and bass heavy music where the Beats outperforms the other 2 headphones and it plays a little louder than them. The best sounding is the Sony, the most comfy is the Bose and Studio 3 is great for pop and bass heavy music and they look much better on my head than the Bose or Sony (as much as I like the Sony sound, they look bulky and ugly on my head). I may sell the Sony and keep only the Bose and Studio 3. Studio 3 is weakest with respect with NC compared to Bose or Sony, but still better than previous Studio 2 model. I will use my Bose for normal listening and switch to the Beats if I want to jam with my music because they GET loud and sounds good too.

The beats wireless are a very well built pair of headphones. The materials used definitely feel like they’ll last long and the sound is great as well for a pair of bluetooth. Although they’re lacking in the bass compartment they definitely still have a kick to it and they touch well in other areas. I bought them for my little brother and he says he loves to wear them all the time to basketball practices and on his way to games. I’d definitely recommend looking into this pair if you’re looking for a nice pair of bluetooth headphones.

I honestly would never spend this kind of money on headphones, they were a gift. I don't have anything to compare them to because I've never owned headphones. The sound is absolutely AMAZING!!! My teenage son told me about music specifically for good quality headphones on you tube and it blew me away. The noise cancelling on these things is exceptional, I can totally tune out my boyfriend and kids, which makes for a great day! My only complaint is after wearing them for awhile they start to hurt my ears, I have a normal size head and ears so I cant image how these would feel if you have a larger head..OUCH!

So I love beats headphones and I probably have every type they make. I like them so much because they work so well with Apple products. You connect them to one device and then they are available for any other devices you own. Also the battery life is incredible. THe reason for 4 stars is the fact that some of the reasons I like them so much is because of how well they work with Apple products. If you used them with other products you loose some features. On that note these studios are great. I bought them specifically for the noise cancelling which works great but does lower battery life. All in All a great product.

    Studio 2 were better

I bought these on sale for 250.00. Compared to head phones around that price range these headphones don't disappoint. But having owned the beats studio 2 headphones These feel like a step down aside from the appearance. They look beautiful but they are not as loud as the studio 2s and they are alot smaller than the studio 2s. They still cover my ears and noise cancelling is way better than the 2s but they feel more like on ear headphones than over ear. The battery life is great compared to 6 hours the studio 2s had but I'd gladly sacrifice the 20+ hour charge for the louder sounding beats studio 2. But like I said these are still great headphones just could have been better

Ok so I love bass intensive music so naturally I’m drawn to these. Not a ton different than the studio wireless 2. Biggest difference is switching between apple devices with the W1 chip. Construction and look is exactly the same. First time I listened to music on these they sounded muffled. I realized that I had the eq on the phone set to bass booster. Switched that to classical and got a better rounded sound. This lead me to believe that they may have a deeper bass bias vs the 2 or just need time to break in. For $212 and selling the old ones, the upgrade is worth it. Don’t upgrade if your old set is working fine unless you switch apple devices constantly.

I use these strictly for the gym. I opted to go with the Studios over the Solos because I thought that the pressure of an on-the-ear would be annoying after a while. I am very satisfied with the comfort of these and the fit, They are very secure unless you’re doing rapid movements and or parrellel with the floor. One thing to keep in mind if you use these for the gym is that you WILL sweat in them which might lead to premature wear on the ear cushions but I think you can replace those. Lightweight and versatile I am pleased. Would rate 5 stars if there was some way to prevent the pooled sweat and imminent wear to the ear cups.

I also have a Beats Studio 2 Wireless, so I assumed it would be similar. However, it performs differently in some areas. On the new Studio 3, I can no longer hold down the center button to disconnect from a device. I also find that the Studio 3 does not remember the most recent connected device. It is spotty. A lot of times I have to go back into settings to manually select the Studio3 to use it, which gets annoying. Personally I still prefer the Beats Studio 2 Wireless because of the functions. The new colors and material on the 3's do look nice though.

Bought these and returned them.. they sounded great but the build quality left me nervous and having to deal with apple if issues arose changed my mind.. they have no app support I knew of but connect easily.. did not like the wear after wearing 20 min they sort pinched my head a bit but weren't awful.. I was motivated to try these because they were discounted 70 bucks.. for 280 I would say great buy.. but i spent extra for a different pair.. honestly it came down to preference of brand and horror stories about apple

These headphones are great, but the matte black ones are so much more fly and come on sale regularly for 230 (THE SAME PRICE AS THE BEATS SOLO 3 WHEN THEY COME ON SALE)! Well worth the money saved because I personally think the matte black are much more fly in general. Only difference is obviously the red leather and coloring, but also on one of the leather earpads, it says est 08 which is kind of cool I guess? It also comes with a red AUX cable instead of a black one. If thats worth 60 more bucks to you go for it, but I would definitely recommending waiting for the matte black ones.

Pros: 1) Apple A1 chip...this is a game changer. I went for these based solely on this feature. It makes life so much easier switching between my MacBook, my TV, my iPad etc 2) Recharge time is about 15 to 16 hours for me...which is excellent! 3) Great wireless range Cons: 1) Bass is much lower than the Bose QC 2) Bose sound a little louder than these, but I could be wrong. If you are in the Apple eco system I would go for these, especially when you have to switch between devices often and get great sound. If not, you can get better headphones in Bose

The Beats Studio 3 wireless headphones are the best set of Beats I have owned by far. They fit over my ears much nicer than the Beats Solo (I am a tall, fairly large man) and the sound quality is very good. Lots of very nice color options-i chose shadow grey to match my new HP computer and Bluetooth mouse. The Bluetooth feature is also nice, as many phones are moving away from auxiliary ports. Battery life could be improved in my opinion-its not bad buy not great. Very average. Also the bass in the headphones could be improved as well
