THEY FALL APART AFTER A FEW MONTHS

They have pretty good sound, but my ear retainer fell off and it appears to be an obvious manufacturing defect. My son's broke in exactly the same place, sooner then mine. This is a manufacturing defect and they won't honor the warranty. Buy something else, these are not worth the money.

It stopped working (charging) only two months after purchase. Seems to be a product defect, so getting a new pair will only last for a while, until your manufacturer's warranty runs out. Then you'll probably have to throw them out. If you like throwing $140.00 in the trash after 1 year, go ahead.

This is my second purchase of this item and I find them excellent! The only problem I have is losing them but that's an owner defect!

Apple will not honor their warranty even when the headphones clearly have a defect hearhook they will tell you it's physical damage when it's clearly not and then tell you that you need to pay $99 to repair them. Don't waist your money on this not worth the headaches

The Powerbeats stopped working just two months after purchase. It stopped charging. Did some research and turns out it's a common problem across the board. You can replace them but, according to others, it will happen again. Apparently it's a manufacturing defect that has not been corrected on new models or on replacements. I've also had hardware problems with other Apple products such as a MacBook Pro and 3 different iPhone 6 and 6s and their replacements. Beware.

The first pair of headphones I purchased were defective. I returned them and I am now on my second pair. They are less than average and definitely did not meet my expectations especially since the headphones were so expensive.

There was NO BASS. It sounded like a $5 headphone. If you wanna buy, don't go for the Flash Blue.

2 new pairs of Apple Powerbeats 2 were defective

I purchased Apple Powerbeats 2 in February, 2016 at a cost of $150.00 for use at the gym. By April, 2017 the ear bud broke for no apparent reason. The ear bud simply broke off from the earpiece and was hanging by the wires. Apple replaced it at their cost. In August, 2018 the same breakage occurred with the replacement pair. I did not do anything to damage the ear bud and cannot explain why the ear bud was again dangling from the earpiece. Apple refused to replace the defective unit. Apple stated they would sell me a replacement for $116.00. I checked on line reviews of Powerbeats from another retailer and the same defect was claimed by other purchasers of Powerbeats . Based on my experience and the experience of other people complaining of the same defect, I would never pay $150 for another pair of any Powerbeat model. Anyone can purchase similar style of gym headphones for less than $30 with a great review and user rating, and guaranteed to work with iPhones and iPad Pros. At a cost of $30, they are disposable even if they only last a year. I have purchased 7 Apple products, from an iPad pro to a Macbook pro. I prefer Apple products but these headphones have a manufacturing defect and have a limited life in relation to the amount they cost at $150.

I purchased the Powerbeats3 on April 22nd and as of today( June 12th)the headphones have acquired limited functionality. The volume and power power buttons sporadically work which is frustrating when wanting to control music via headphone buttons. I have never abused this product and only assume the ipx rating is poor and the only moisture to touch these headphones were body sweat from working out. Given this product has a 1 year limited warranty I have a service inquiry with Apple. Hopefully they can resolve this issue. The sound quality however was pleasing but it seems I purchased a defective device.

This will be my 5th pair of headphones that I've gotten from Apple. I've had to submit warrant defects five times now. Each pair I've gotten have been supposedly "new" but the same problem persists and I don't know what to do. The problem is the headphones stop working after a few weeks of use. They will first die randomly and the completely stop turning on, won't hold a charge at all. I wish I could just get my money back versus getting replacements. Do not waste your money on this product.

They advertise these headphones as waterproof, but they're anything but waterproof. Purchased TWO of these things, one for me one for my brother, and within a month they stop functioning. We exchanged the items for the same headphones thinking maybe we were the unlucky ones to have had the only two defective products in the store. Within two weeks, the other exchanges (which where brand new ) stopped functioning again. We use them exclusively for the gym, and yes we do cardio as well with them, but they're advertised as waterproof!! Decided not to make the same mistake again and bought the Bose Wireless headphones, which have worked 10x better. Not only are they truly waterproof, since we still give them the same usage, but the Bluetooth connection is better and faster, and the sound is superior. For the price that you pay, it should have no issues with what they're advertised for.

Where do I begin... Ok, so I purchased my first ever Dr. Dre BT earphones because I thought their price would justify their quality, durability, and overall performance. Boy was I wrong. First pair purchased from BestBuy, only after 6 months of use, would turn off after a minute of playback. I visit my local Apple store, and send them in for a replacement. The entire process takes about 2 weeks and they sent a product replacement due to the original product having a defective battery. I decided to give Apple and Dr.Dre the benefit of the doubt because, hey, stuff happens. Well, just yesterday, this new replacement completely died. I am talking about no responsiveness whatsoever. No response when plugged in to charge. Nothing. How does a less than a year old product die within months of use and with absolutely no other use other than listen to music, take them off, leave them on the table, and charge when needed. Please, please, please. Save yourself the ~$180. They are not worth it. They are cheaply build and do not last. You will be buying a disposable product which Apple nor anyone else, will take responsibility for.

I purchased these head phones last Wednesday. I read the reviews and thought they were a good product. I was wrong. I had previously had Beats wired head phones and the right ear bud stopped working after a year and a half of owning them. I had to buy another pair because I workout 1.5 hours 5x a week. When running they would slightly come out and I would have to push them back in. After having them in my ear for over an hour they would be uncomfortable and start to hurt my inner ear. They would also randomly shut off and replay music. The sound was low and not good bass. Annoying and this happened within the last 3 days of purchasing them. I went to return because of that defect. I purchased Bose wireless sport head phones and you will NOT be disappointed with those. Buy those instead of these. Beats quality has gone down since APPLE took them over. Do Not Buy these. avoid at all costs.

So this product worked pretty good for a while. Sounds amazing and very great bass. Not too loud at all if you max the volume, just about right. I use these mainly at the gym. Great when you don't have wires in the way of doing certain workouts. So anyhow these started to disconnect and won't connect back to my phone. I get a blinking white light that blinks 3x. It's not pulsating, but blinking. It would be fully charged and no low battery at all. I did the full reset process. I couldn't exchange or return them because I went over the return date of 14 days I guess. I'm now dealing with AppleCare support for the time being. Had to send these back in the FedEx box they provide. Now just waiting for a replacement. But they're great. I just picked a defective unit I guess
