There are so many things to like about these pair of headphones and of course a few items that not quite make them perfect. 1. One of the first things that I noticed is the they are solid. When you feel them in your hands, there is a sense of a well built product. The materials used in the head band are both flexible aluminum and hard quality plastic. The ear piece material looks leather like and the foam used in the ear piece is an essence of memory foam. 2. I love folding them up to turn on and off the head set. 3. The pairing to my iPhone was so fast, I had to double check they were paired! 4. I chose the matte dark blue color, which is sharp looking. 5. The sounds is so good, to a point where I look forward to putting them on to listen to my music! Let me just say, I have owned a number of quality headphones from big name brands, the sound rivals them, this includes sound cancelling. 6. The ANC is my favorite feature of these headphones. You can still listen to you favorite music and still be cognizant of what is going on around you. The button on the left ear piece allow you to switch back and forth from ANC to noice cancelling in under a second. 7. The controls on the right ear piece are very convenient and is effortless when you want to increase/decrease volume, answer phone calls, etc.....the push click to control is smooth. 8. The battery life if amazing. I can go days between charging and that's when I am talking, movie viewing, and of course listening to music. 9. Being an Apple product, there is zero problems from going from device to device connectivity. It just works! 10. Talking - the microphone on the Solo Pros are very good! Every person that I have spoken with comments, how clear they can hear me. I use these Solo Pros for WFH. I have not tested them in loud environments. Almost perfect: 1. I notice at the 4 hour mark of using these headphones, my ears got fatigued. Keep in mind, these headphone are "On the Ears", so there is slight pressure for long term usage. I do have to take breaks throughout the day. 2. Are they worth the price? I found these Solo Pros on sale at the $200 price point. And I would say, that is a perfect price point for these Solo Pros, due to all the tech and quality built in! All in all, I love my Solo Pros and highly recommend them for purchase!

Absolutely love these. The sound quality is much improved over earlier Beats. The bass is no longer the star of the show, which I imagine is bad for some (just adjust the equalizer for Apple Music or Spotify if you want to tune it to your liking) but what you get instead is a much more well balanced sound profile that I leave it on 90% of the time. I listen to rap, hip hop, dub step, metal, rock, pop, etc and it’s great as is almost all the time. So you may have heard that Beats were of mediocre build quality until Apple bought them. Well don’t let that worry you now. They are absolutely well made. Heavy duty hinges that function as the on/off switch when you fold /unfold them and a great head band adjustment that doesn’t make a sound. The padding is nice and thick but doesn’t crush your head. Some people have complained that they are tight and start hurting after a short while. I wear glasses and the only time I start to notice them bothering me is after a couple solid hours of use and it isn’t enough for me to take them off. I just notice they’re on my head more. The noise cancelling has two modes: active and transparency. Active does as advertised and blocks out the world. You’re in your own little cocoon with you and your music or your favorite shows. Transparency let’s the world in to an extent that you can hear cars going by while out doors and stay aware of the world around you. In the home it doesn’t work as well, magnifying things like running water and air conditioning more than the voices of people talking to you, at which point you’re better turning both modes off and just listening the old fashioned way. Since Beats are now made by Apple they do all the stuff Apple AirPods do: seamlessly sync with your iPhone or other Apple devices, Siri functionality, music controls, etc. but for Android users they work as well since the music and audio modes are also controlled with physical buttons and can connect via Bluetooth. Now everything works great when it comes to Apple Music and the iPhone itself. Siri is intuitive and can read you your messages while your phone is locked and take down a reply. You can control the music with the touch buttons easily. With Spotify it’s not as good. I don’t know if the fault lays with Apple or Spotify or both, but on numerous occasions the touch buttons stop functioning when Spotify is concerned. It seems if you pause a song, you have maybe 30 seconds to resume or skip or whatever before it times out and you have to grab your phone to start the song back All in all I love these things, all the more so that they were half price when I got them. But after using them I would probably pay the $300 they originally cost to get them if I had to.

    Second Beats headphones

My first Beats wireless headphones was the first Beats Studio over the ear headphones and it doesn’t disappoint. I must admit I haven’t used it as much as my AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds Plus for portability reasons. I recently “unearthed” it from my closet and thought of using it. It sounds amazing and it still looks brand new. I believe I bought it about 2 years ago. Because the Studio doesn’t have ANC, I thought of buying the Beats Solo Pro More Matte Collection Wireless Noise Cancelling on ear headphones in dark blue. I’m clearly not an audiophile. At first, I didn’t know the difference between “over the ear” and “on ear” headphones. The difference is in the size of the ear cups; over the ear has larger ear cups while the on ear is smaller and sits on your ears. Having explained the difference, this Solo Pro on ear headphones is a slightly uncomfortable as it sits on your ears. However, I don’t really find the overall fit to be super tight as others have stated. It is definitely tighter compared to the fit of the Beats Studio headphones and I find myself adjusting it on my head over time. I mainly use it at home to watch Netflix or listen to Spotify. The fact that the Solo Pro does not have the 3.5mm plug is okay with me since my Studio headphones have it. One thing I don’t like with the Solo Pro is that it doesn’t allow me to connect to two Apple devices (iPhone and iPad Pro) at the same time. I have to disconnect one in order for the other to connect. Once I disconnected, and because it disconnected all my apple devices at the same time, I had a hard time pairing it back. For awhile I thought it was broken. When they say there’s a quick connect to an Apple device once you unfold the headphones, well mine didn’t pair immediately. I was even contemplating on ordering another one so I could return this. As a last resort, I pressed the one and only button long enough and I saw it paired successfully! That saved me from ordering another one. I guess I just have to pair the Studio with one device and the other with the Solo Pro to avoid this extra step. You already know that there is no power button on this headphones. Once you unfold it, it is powered on and ready to use. Fold it back and the power is off. The soft carrying case of the Solo Pro is recycled material. The Studio headphones has a hard carrying case. I like the appearance of the matte finish and also the beats logo is muted which I prefer. The overall build seems sturdy and classy. There are so many choices to select in terms of ANC headphones but as you can tell I’m a Beats fan. Last thing is that the cord I’m using to charge it is the same for my iPhone XS Max, which to me is pretty convenient with less cords to bring when I travel.

Excellent headphones. The battery life is great and the sound is amazing. They cancel noise perfectly and you can listen to loud music without people around you hearing it. The only drawback so far, is they are a little tight on my head and after awhile I have to take them off. But it might just be that I have a big head! I was deciding between these and some Bose headphones, and am honestly glad I went with these because the sound and noise cancellation are exactly what I wanted.

I purchased these for my daughter recently and for this review I asked several questions. the ANC is really good does a really good job of filtering out unwanted noise, the fit at first is a bit snug and its only been a couple of weeks but she is getting use to it, she has a Iphone so the connectivity and ease of ease are well easy and not issue at all. the sound is noticeably better than the next model and worth the extra few bucks. they were on sale at the time of purchase. battery life is really good as well, she uses all day and she only charges them once at night. overall a good purchase,.

Pros: These headphones sound great. They are very comfortable. They have high quality construction. They connect to my iPhone instantly. I can listen all day without having to worry about recharging. Cons: Had some trouble getting them to connect to standard Bluetooth when I tried to get them to connect to my PC and my Surface tablet. Had to reset them twice to get it to work. But it all works fine now. Bottom Line: Get them while they are still on sale. Definitely a great value. And get AppleCare with them, why take chances.

Good looking color and design. The control are on the side of the headphone allowing the function of answering calls, talking to Siri, volume controls, etc. The noise cancellation is excellent. Battery life is extremely impressive. They are not too heavy and stay in place. The Bluetooth pairing is easy and have not experienced any disconnects. The sound is as you would expect which is very good for all types of music.

If your trying to decide which Beats to buy. I Highly recommended these. I love all genres of music, It's my escape, so I have purchased them all over time. Over the ear Solo and Studio- Pro: Great for anything and everything. Con :Feels like foam around ears wear quickly. Beat Flex: Pro- Not as expensive Con- Not as expensive (Hey you get what you pay for) Powerbeats- Pro: Great when doing alot of activity. Con: Not the best in comfort if your a sun glasses and hat person on a regular basis. I dont care for the earbud cord Powerbeats Pro- (same thing) Pro: Great when doing alot of activity. Wireless! Con: Not the best in comfort if your a sun glasses and hat person on a regular basis Studio Buds- Pro: Great for anything! "In my experience" they will not slip or pop out, which was a major. Last thing I'm trying to do is constantly feel like I'm having to reach up and adjust them. Con: Haven't found one yet. Side note: Don't think about it, Purchase the protection plan. Don't be that person. "I know, I know, You don't think you'll need it or not trying to spend the extra money. I feel you. But man does it suck when you go to listen to music and cant! Now you gotta buy new beats (because lets face it, your buying new beats) but not if you have the protection. Let your headphones not working properly be the only issue. Speaking from experience.

I like the sound. It does cancel out the noise from the background. ( when people are talking to you) The volume though is not loud enough. I tested it in the Best Buy store, I wasn't such a fan of but my daughter did and it was a gift for her so... its ok. This head phones in particular aren't for an adult head. It's more for a kid. I had to lower them to the back of my head from the top.

These headphones are the best! I have had several headphone sets throughout my life and they have been good. I never thought I would be able to afford headphones with this level of performance! I got them on a Deal of the Day and I do not regret one dime that was spent. Not to mention that they are on my favorite color, BLUE! I would recommend these headphones to my family and friends.

Great fit over the ear, not too heavy, good sound and drowns out other noises well. Holds a charge for days before I need to recharge and I love the carrying case. The color is VERY RED almost to the point of orange but I love them. Got them on sale otherwise I would have gone with a less expensive option so very happy that I was looking at the right time!
