The Beats Studio Buds by Dr. Dre are certainly an excellent companion to have - especially with Apple products. The sound is outstanding and the set up and use is very easy and straightforward (especially with Apple products). The sound is on par with other ear buds in this price range, though I would say the bass is heavier and sounds a bit richer. The battery life is excellent. The noise cancellation is also excellent, though you will want to ensure you have selected the correct ear piece to ensure a snug fit. While not as strong as other noise reducing/canceling ear buds I've used in the past, these are really quite good. My only problem with the Beats Buds is the awkward way the buds sit in the case. It seems I am always twisting the buds around and around to get them to settle in to their position within the case. I am sure this is something to get used to, but it's not nearly as easy as other Apple products of similar nature. Overall I give these buds a strong thumbs up. They sound great, pair seamlessly to iPhone/iPad/Mac - and I am sure other devices too - and the noise cancellation is about the same as other noise-cancelling ear buds. 5/5 in my book!

I’ve tried several wireless earbuds before, but these truly stand out! From the moment I unboxed them, I was impressed by the sleek design and sturdy case. The earbuds paired instantly with my phone, and the connection has been flawless ever since. The sound quality is exceptional — rich bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. Whether I’m listening to music, taking calls, or watching videos, everything sounds immersive and detailed. The noise cancellation is also surprisingly effective, especially for this price point. Comfort-wise, they fit perfectly in my ears and stay in place even during workouts or long walks. I can wear them for hours without discomfort. The battery life is another huge plus — I get several hours of playtime on a single charge, and the charging case holds enough juice to keep me going for days. Overall, these wireless earbuds offer fantastic performance, quality, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an affordable yet premium audio experience!

I have sort of a love/hate relationship with these headphones. Bit of background, I own a LOT of headphones, and have owned even more that I've sold or given away. I don't really consider myself to be an audiophile, but I've owned some very nice headphones dacs/amps that would be considered by most to be audiophile level gear. It's made me quite critical of headphones in general, but I definitely see the value in convenience at a loss of quality (for example bluetooth is convenient but limits the fidelity of the music due to compression). Enough about me, let's talk Beats Studio Buds. I think most people are going to compare these to the Airpods or the Airpods Pro (as will I on a couple of points) because that's sort of the reigning king of bluetooth ear buds (especially for Apple users). Speaking of which, these being Android friendly is a huge plus that I wasn't expecting since Apple owns Beats now. It does require an app download and initial configuration that adds a few steps over the Apple setup which is identical to airpods (just open the case near an unlocked phone for instant pairing) but none of that is really a deal break for anyone shopping for $150 ear buds. First let's talk about what they do great: they look awesome, they sound pretty good, and the battery life is great. Also, they are (upon inserting) the most comfortable true wireless ear buds I've worn to date. The look: I bought the red variant because I've never bought red earbuds and it seemed like a fun alternative to the usual black or white options. I also like the idea of the case being red because it'll be much easier to spot when they inevitably get dropped between the sofa cushions or fall of out my pocket in the car and end up under/between the seats. The sound: I think most people will agree that these sound good. Some will say they sound really good. I think as far as bluetooth ear buds go they are towards the top of what you can expect and they are overall very enjoyable to listen to. They don't have as much of the bass boosting muddiness as the beats of old and are much more balanced overall. That being said they have a "fun" sound to them, not a flat or neutral sound signature. If you don't understand what any of that means, you'll probably think they sound really great and there is nothing wrong with that. The bass did stay really smooth as well as the mids/highs clear, I never had issues with them getting muddy or peaking even at max volume. This is very impressive at this price point. Transparency mode exists but leaves a lot to be desired. If you are primarily listening to music when you have these in that won't be an issue for you though. The battery life and fit: As mentioned above these things just fit really great. In my experience there were no issues with them staying in my ear and compared to the Airpods pro sticking them in my ear was much more comfortable. However, listening to them over time and especially in transparency mode the airpods sounded more natural which lent to a more comfortable long term fit since it didn't feel like my ears had anything stuffed into them. Battery life has been great, they last a bit longer than my airpod pros and top off really nicely inside the case. I don't think anyone will have an issue with battery life. Now the things I don't care for. The case feels plasticky cheap compared to the airpods and airpods pro case, the mic is barely acceptable (and down right atrocious), the ANC/transparency modes are nice features but not as well executed as Airpods pro. I've already touched on a few of these items but lets just say whenever I used these for phone calls people I regularly talk to would make comments about how bad I sounded or that I don't sound as clear as usual. That being said they could understand most of what I was saying, but there was a very noticeable decrease in quality from my Airpod Pros (or even the phone/speakerphone). The ANC and Transparency modes are a nice inclusion at this price point but you really get what you pay for. The ANC may not be as good as on Airpods pro but it's not as noticeable an issue, especially when the music is playing. With the transparency mode though, you almost forget you're even wearing headphones with the airpod pros. On the beats studio buds your ears feel pretty full and the outside sounds being passed through sound slightly muted and muffled. This is certainly due to the low quality microphones and goes hand in hand with phone calls sounding bad to the other user on these as well. Final thoughts: If you are primarily planning to use these for music I think they are a great ear bud especially at this price point. If you make/take a lot of phone calls, I would highly recommend bumping up to the Airpod Pros or even the regular airpods as they both offer a much higher call quality experience.

These Beats earbuds completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I unboxed them, I could tell they were built with quality in mind. The sleek, vibrant design turns heads everywhere I go, and the comfort level is unmatched — I can wear them for hours without any discomfort. But what really blew me away was the sound. The audio is rich and immersive, with deep bass and crystal-clear treble that brings my playlists to life. Whether I’m working out, commuting, or just relaxing, the noise isolation lets me stay in my own world. The Bluetooth connection is fast and stable, and the battery lasts me all day with quick recharging. These earbuds are more than just stylish — they’ve become part of my everyday routine. If you’re looking for top-tier performance with a bold look, these are it. Easily one of the best purchases I’ve made all year!

But I love these Beats Studio Buds! They are light and very comfortable, good fitting and very well suited for long listening sessions and long movies. The sound is excellent as well. The soundstage is large and the quality is bright and lively. Beats have always been known for an aggressive bass posture, something which I’ve found arguably too pronounced in my Beats Studio 2 Wireless headphones over the last four or five years, though they are very good, With these new Beats, the low end remains very strong but not too reverb heavy, The high end is very crisp and sharp while the mids are distinct as well. It’s a very lively presentation that works well with sensitive acoustic music and vocals, propulsive polyrhythms and screaming electric guitars, and lush orchestral music. They also look cool, much more subtle than awkward AirPods and much less of an earful than other brands. I got them in red and they’re a nice contrast to my black and various shades of gray tech. In addition, they work very well with Apple and Android devices alike, pairing easily and quickly with both. I usually use them with my iPad Air or iPad Mini, but they work quite well with the Amazon Fire HD 8s I use as utility devices. Battery life is good as well. They’ve become my favorite gadget. A very god value at list price and unbeatable on sale.

    A Step Above Standard AirPods

I've owned a few pairs of AirPods over the years, but this is my first pair of Beats-branded headphones or earbuds. AirPods have always been a bit difficult to use with non-Apple devices, and Apple appears to be trying to fill that gap with these new Beats Studio Buds. They are missing a few nice features that you'd get with AirPods, but they also offer a great value for the price. PROS: - On iOS devices, the Studio Buds behave much like AirPods. They are recognized by my iPhone as soon as I open the case with a pop-up for instant pairing. You can see the battery percentages of the buds and the case in your notification center and also control the noise cancellation mode through Control Center. The Studio Buds appear in the "Find My" app in case you lose them. You also get Spatial Audio, allowing you to experience the new Dolby Atmos tracks on Apple Music. - The Studio Buds provide the most Apple-like experience to Android users compared to any other Apple or Beats device. They support the new Google Fast Pair standard, so they instantly pair with your Android phone when the case is opened for the first time. There is a dedicated Beats Android app used to adjust noise cancellation settings. - The Studio Buds are surprisingly compact and comfortable. Unlike AirPods, there is no stem that sticks down, and the buds protrude only slightly from my ears. I've worn the Studio Buds for many hours now with the pre-installed medium ear tips and they are very comfortable. After a few minutes, I hardly notice them. I also went on a run with them and they stayed nice and snug in my ears. - I like the fact that both buds have physical buttons to control play/pause, fast-forward/rewind, and noise cancellation/transparency. Both buttons perform the same functions, so there is no need to remember which button to push to perform a certain function. Even better is that these are actual, physical buttons that you press - not touch controls that might not work with sweaty hands. - For the price and size, sound quality is rather impressive. These buds include active noise cancellation, although it seems to be more of an afterthought (more on that below). The Studio Buds have plenty of bass, but I've certainly used other buds that pack more of a "kick." The sound profile overall is very crisp and balanced, with nice separation of mids and highs. - The case charges over USB-C, which will be welcome news to iOS and Android users alike trying to minimize the amount of cables they carry around. CONS: - Beats and Apple make a point of calling these "active noise cancelling" buds, but the noise cancellation is very minimal. I hardly notice a difference when I turn noise cancellation off completely. With it on, I can still hear a lot of ambient noise like typing on a keyboard, traffic noise, and voices. I can't imagine these would do very well on an airplane. On the other hand, "transparency" mode works pretty well and should serve you well for holding quick conversations with the Studio Buds in your ears. - The case does not support wireless charging, something that seems to be somewhat standard in premium wireless earbuds. - Your music or content does not pause when you take the buds out of your ears. This was surprising to me given how Apple is usually very attentive to details like this. - If you have multiple Apple devices, these will not automatically switch over from one to the other when you start playing content. - Microphone performance is poor, at best. People on the other end of my calls reported that I sounded "far away" or that my voice was distorted. In louder areas, the mic pics up a lot of ambient noise. OVERALL: The Beats Studio Buds offer a nice step up from Apple's standard AirPods, especially for Android users. I prefer the design of the Studio Buds to AirPods, but there are some Apple-centric features missing like automatic pausing and device switching. I also found the Studio Buds more comfortable than standard AirPods with a more well-rounded sound profile. Apple users who want the full Apple experience may want to look at the AirPods Pro, but for those who are willing to sacrifice some small features - including Android users - the Beats Studio Buds represent a nice compromise and a good value. Recommended!

When it comes to just listening, what do you really need? Noise cancellation is good, and both have this. Yes iPods are a little better. Transparency mode is also a little better on iPods Pro, but the Beats have it too. As far as sound, that is where my experience with the Beats to me, is at least as good, I believe they are better. I enjoy the base much better on Beats. Also the Beats stay in my ears much better. As far as charge time, I’ve never had them in my ears that long. With the case that isn’t a problem to me. Finally, the price is great on the Beats. iPods Pro is quite the investment and requires consideration. I lost one of my iPod pros, that’s why I purchased the Beats and if I loose one of these it won’t be such a lost.

Love the red! Great bass and fits well in my ear. Also has transparency, noise cancelling or you can turn off both settings. When it’s connected to your phone it’s shows battery life of both ear buds as well as the charging dock. Charges fastttt! I also run like 25-30 miles a week in these. No matter how sweaty I get the earbuds never fall out. I’ve had all kinds of wireless ear buds and these take the cake. Especially the water resistance feature since I live in Florida!

These earbuds have a very nice balanced sound. Clarity: bass is strong: depending on the type of music. The iPhone's equalizer improves the sound greatly! They fit very well. I've never had to readjust them because they moved and lost the listening sweet spot. Calls are clear. Everything is really solid concerning these Beats Buddds!

The sound quality on these buds are great, the various size in silicone tips allows for desired fittings. Battery life has been solid enough for long period use at work between charging, really wish there was a small lip or intent where the cap and body of the case meet to allow for easier opening. There is no option to EQ these buds outside of whichever music app you're listening through which is a little bit of a bummer but overall these are trustworthy quality ear buds.

    The Cadillac of Basic Earbuds.

I've been testing the Beats Studio buds for about 3 days, and I think these are a really nice and good-looking set of basic earbuds. The reason I say they are basic is because there’s no wireless charging, equalizer, or volume controls on the buds. The only premium feature is noise cancelling and transparency mode. Unfortunately, both aren’t that good. I would happily trade noise cancelling for volume control. Now that that is out of the way, there is still a lot to like about these buds. For instance, the buds feel secure in my ear, and I can wear them for a few hours at a time without discomfort. The case comfortably slips in and out of my pocket without looking or feeling weird. Bluetooth pairs quickly and maintains a strong connection. Additionally, the battery life is excellent. I probably used the buds for 11 hours in the last 3 days and the case still has 50% battery life. Most importantly, sound production while listening to hip hop, pop or acoustic music all sound great. With that being said, I do recommend these earbuds because they are well built, sound great, have good Bluetooth connection and a great battery. Just know that they are a basic set of buds hiding inside a premium case.
