Hands down - this is the most comfortable pillow I have ever used. As someone who has chronic neck discomfort, I have been through many pillow types and brands. Until now, I've never really found one that provides all around comfort. Dual sides for changes in firmness, consistent cooling, no breakdown. What more is there? Bedgear has created an amazing pillow with their Cosmo 3.0. I'm a fan and I would absolutely reccomend this to anyone who asks.

The score is mostly due to the customer service I received after ordering a pillow that I ended up not being 100% satisfied with, but their commitment to making sure I got the right solution was commendable. I will post the original review below) They reached out and ensured I had correctly ordered the right pillow based on my sleeping habits. It turned out I did and just had higher hopes for a pillow in that price point. They were more than willing to replace it but I was not excited about having to be responsible for shipping back the original version before they would ship a replacement. I opted to just keep the original pillow. I have friends that swear by this brand and the technology they include in their products. I have tried to make this my primary sleeping pillow but it just doesn't work for me no matter how hard I try. I think this is a product that needs to have a try before you buy type of selling model to ensure you appreciate the quality and tech in something that by default is really basic. Original Review - I am a small/medium build stomach sleeper so according to the pillow ID I am a zero/one. I have the 0.0 pillow. This pillowcase material is smooth but the corner where it has the vent and the seams around the sides are a little aggressive and scratchy. Even when I covered the pillow with a traditional pillowcase I could feel the scratchy part where the vent is. After the first few nights the pillow seemed to flatten and not return to its original fluffy shape. The instant cool did not impress me much. Yes, it feels “instant cool” when you first lay on it because it is a cool silky material. I do not feel like it stayed cool after laying on it. I do not feel like this pillow justifies the current price.

The Bedgear Cosmo 2.0 is essentially two pillows in one with each side being noticeably different in firmness. It is advertised as a cooling pillow and I can certainly tell a big difference from my old one. I am a “hot” sleeper but since getting this pillow (and the moisture wicking sheets which are amazing!) there hasn’t been a single night I have woken up because of getting overheated. For context, this used to happen several times a week with my old set up. After hearing me go on and on about how I loved this pillow, my wife had to try it out. She loved it too…which meant I had to get a new one for me because she confiscated the one I already had, telling me I could wait for the UPS guy to bring the new one! Anyway, the ventilation seems to work great and keeps us both cooler. I was certainly skeptical of a pillow at this price point being able to live up to its own hype but I am thoroughly convinced now. I definitely recommend going to the Bedgear site and using their fit guide to be sure you order the right size.

The Bedgear Cosmo pillow comes in 4 sizes/thickness builds for different sized people. If you are not sure which size pillow will be best for you, try checking out the mfgr website and answering a few questions in their "Find Your Fit" survey, there they will recommend the best build for you. Bedgear offers 3 different types of cooling pillows, The Glacier , Cosmo and Flow. The Cosmo is a combination of the other 2 pillows utilizing both their cool to touch and air flow technologies compiled with 2 separate levels of firmness. Making the Cosmo pillow the most versatile pillow they make. The Cosmo 1,2 and 3 are dual chamber pillows. The separate chambers consist of different materials to achieve different levels of firmness. The firmer side is built from a solid piece of memory foam. While the softer side is a fill of shredded materials. The 2 different firmness levels make this pillow great for virtually any kind of sleeping position.   I personally prefer sleeping on my side, but typically swap between my back, stomach and side throughout the night. Now I can just flip the pillow over for the desired firmness and position I am sleeping in. It's much easier to use just one pillow for this instead of trying to rifle through the different pillows I would normally sleep with. Using just one pillow on the bed also reduces the build up of heat trapped by a pile of pillows around my head.  The Cosmo 3.0 pillow is designed for full sized individuals that tend to either sweat while sleeping or have difficulty sleeping because of reverberated body heat that gets trapped in standard pillows and bedding.  The Ver-Tex cover features instant cooling technology, making every part of the pillow that you just touch feel cold.  This silky-smooth cover is designed to reduce overheating to keep you cool all night long. The cover is made from a silk-like fabric knitted with near-metallic fibers, to help dissipate and deflect heat. Metals have been used as efficient heat sinks for years, so it makes sense that someone finally found a way to infuse it with fabrics to create a type of heat sink cover. A person loses 7 to 10 percent of their body heat through their head, but when you are sleeping it feels like it's over 50 percent. Which is why the Ver-Tex cover is so refreshing while trying to sleep. The Cosmo pillows have Air-X mesh panels with air vents. The mesh panels and air vents are on all four sides to provide continuous airflow both in and around the pillow. This helps hot air escape the pillow for a more comfortable sleep. The Cosmo 3.0 has a total of ten vents around the pillow. The Air-X is a 3D fabric technology that is made up of spring-like yarns engineered to create a type of air pocket. These pockets make it possible for air to pass through the fabric with ease, creating a breathing type action whenever you move the pillow. Hot air can easily be expelled as cool surrounding air then gets sucked back in.  The internal parts of the pillow are mainly made from Bedgear's React Foam, React technology is made with breathable, conforming foam that responds to the pressures and movements of your body, sculpting itself to your precise shape. The foam has an open cell construction that allows for airflow and prevents heat buildup, so you don’t wake up in the middle of the night feeling overheated. The firmer side of the pillow has their React Foam Crown, which is a full size piece of foam specially designed to keep the air flow going. The softer side of the pillow is a shredded React Blend fill. This fill is made up of small pieces of the React Foam mixed with silk-like fibers, to keep the cooling effects possible. Every part of this pillow is designed to maximize air flow through not only the cover, but all of its internal parts. Making this pillow extremely effective at keeping you cool through most of the night. Now, obviously this pillow does not have an internal fan or power supply to keep the temperature regulated throughout the entire night, and once you actually fall asleep, your movements will be reduced, hence the airflow through the pillow will be reduced. I have noticed that the pillow is definitely cool every time I lay down, and stays cool for a long time. However, your head can still end up feeling warm in the middle of the night and at morning time, if you are not moving throughout the night. But it's still not nearly as bad as a traditional pillow.  The cover is removable and washable, but no cleaning is suggested for the inside and chambers of the pillow. I found it feels better to just use the pillow as is, and not try to find a pillow case thin enough to make use of all the cooling features of the pillow, especially seeing as how the cover is washable. Overall I am very pleased with the pillow. I was a little nervous about the weight of the pillow, as it is the heaviest pillow I have ever owned, but the weight seems to have no negative effects on how I sleep or use the pillow. The dual chambers are also a huge convenience, I love flipping the pillow over feeling the newly chilled side, as I prop my head up on the firmer side to watch TV, and then flipping it back over to the softer side to actually fall asleep. So far everything has kept its shape and has shown no signs of wear. Everything about this pillow feels like it is made from the highest quality products available.

The Bedgear Cosmo 0.0 pillow is fantastic. I'm a "warm" sleeper and I noticed that this pillow really helped cool my head for a more comfortable night. The cushioning is perfect. Highly recommended!

I was in the market for a new pillow, decided to try one of these Bedgear pillows. They're pretty expensive, but very well made and have a great cover that protects the pillow. They advertise that one side is firmer than the other, but I couldn't really tell any difference. While the pillow I got is the thinnest in this class of pillows, it was still too thick for me if I was laying on my back. It's fine when I sleep on my side, but pushes my head too far forward when back-sleeping. I even tried it without the cover to see if that reduced the thickness, but it wasn't enough. They do make other classes of pillows, so perhaps one of those would be thin enough. I guess pillows aren't really something you can buy online without being able to see their size first, if it's important to you.

First, I went to the Bedgear website to find "Find Your Fit". Based on my specifications (Male, large, side-sleeper, hot sleeper, and medium-firm mattress) they recommended the Cosmo 2.0 pillow. Out of the box, the first thing that you notice is that the cover is very cool to the touch. I was excited when I felt it as I sleep very hot. The next thing is how heavy it is. Memory foam is a lot heavier than traditional pillows because of how dense it is. My first night with it was absolutely horrible. I went to bed around 10:00 pm. I woke up around 1:30 sweating profusely. I flipped the pillow to get to the "cool side". After falling back asleep I woke up again around 3:15 sweating. I repeated the flip and tried again. I woke up again at 4:45 sweating. With my alarm set to go off at 5:45, I just decided to go ahead and get up. I couldn't take it anymore. I checked the thermostat to make sure the A/C didn't quit in the middle of the night and found that it was 68 degrees in the house. I wouldn't be sweating with my normal pillow. I instantly regretted getting this pillow. However, I figured I would give it a few days for my body to get used to the new pillow. Night two I only woke up once sweating. On the third night, I was finally able to sleep through the night. Since then it has been fine and I haven't woken up in the middle of the night since (about a week and a half). The pillow has two sides, one firm and one softer. I haven't seen that in a pillow before. Although most people tend to prefer one over the other, I guess it's good to have the option if you want it. In the week and a half of sleeping on this pillow, I have noticed that it is definitely not as full as it was when it arrived. I find for me most "normal" pillows go flat in about six months. At the rate this one is getting smaller, it won't be nearly that long. I'm normally a two pillow sleeper and I feel like I'm already at the point of needing another pillow under this one. It seems that no one has found a way to actually make memory foam cool. I used to work for a company making memory foam pillows (a different company). They tried putting pulverized brown diamonds (the same ones they use in the industrial world for saw blades) into the foam mix to cool the pillows and it basically did nothing but sound fancy. Since they're all very similar, each brand tries its own thing to make itself different. This pillow uses shredded memory foam on one side. Based on pictures on their website, it looks like the shredded foam is put together and one piece. Another company uses shredded memory foam for the entire pillow, although it is left loose in the cover. This causes it to clump up and become uncomfortable. The Cosmo pillow shouldn't have that issue. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this pillow, especially at this price point. Although everyone is different and it may be perfect for you.

I got this pillow to replace a very firm foam pillow I’ve had for 15 years. It is definitely comfortable if you like a firm/hard pillow. It is also the best pillow I’ve used as far as staying cool is concerned. It stays cool longer than other pillows and feels cooler to the touch when you flip it over or move to the other end. Be aware of the height though. I got the 3.0 because I sleep mostly on my side and back and I found it to be too tall (I didn’t consider that I keep my arm under my pillow). Overall, it is a great pillow. Not life-changing, but better than any of the dozen others I’ve tried.

The Cosmo 3.0 is a very nicely designed pillow, complete with a removable cover for washing, Air channels on the side that work. One side is very soft and the other is firm. This is great for me as I am a restless sleeper. I am constantly turning and tossing from side sleeping to back, then stomach after using the pillow for over a week. I have really come to like it. I am when picky it comes to pillows. I refuse to buy the cheap store ones as they collapse after less than a month and must be doubled to be comfortable, I have also tried the memory foam ones and all that did was give me a sore neck and a headache. Feather was out as well (allergic) But the Bedgear is just the right mix of everything, Filler, air ventilation, cooling great stitching. I chose to put a pillowcase on mine, but the cover is soft enough (and washable) that you could get away with not using one. Be sure to check out the website or the box before buying. Bedgear has special pillows for all sizes and position sleepers. I am very happy with this pillow and would recommend it to friends and family

I'm usually pretty skeptical about things that claim to make you sleep better. So when I got this pillow my expectations were fairly low. When I initially tried it I wasn't impressed. Even though this was supposed to be the right size for me, it was too thick and too firm. Then I remembered it has a firm side and a soft side, so I turned it over and... now I'm in love. This pillow is amazing. It's honestly everything Bedgear claims it to be. It feels and stays cool, and it's really, really comfortable. It doesn't flatten like some pillows and your head doesn't disappear into like others. For me, it's my perfect pillow. It's not cheap, but neither are the results of not sleeping well!

Awful product from awful company. Look elsewhere!

I purchased this pillow along with the company's Glacier pillow. $250 for this pillow. Before I used the pillow I wanted to wash the cover. I removed the insert, which looked the same for both the "Cosmo" and "Glacier" pillows, and tried to remove what I wasn't sure was a second insert (that was not ever mentioned on the product or by salesman), but it wouldn't come out so I figured it must be part of the cover. And I washed it per the instructions on the tag. Immediately after taking it out from the washer, I knew something wasn't right- the pillow case was completely misshapen and couldn't be fixed, but again, I tried to see if there was a second insert and nothing was coming out. I tried drying it on low heat in the dryer, again per instructions, thinking this might correct it. No. After drying, then the memory foam had changed shape and expanded to the point where it must have come loose from whatever it was stuck to. Nowhere on the product did it say memory foam was in there, or to remove TWO inserts. What sort of a pillow has two inserts?? This again was nowhere on the box or tag. I reached out to the company and explained this, their poor directions, and how I hadn't gotten to use the pillow even once yet, and they responded first by just saying essentially that it sucked for me, then after another response and mentioning contacting the BBB for their poor product description, they said their directions were clear and then offered me a 30% discount on another product. Really, so I can spend another couple hundred on a product that they don't stand behind or provide good instructions? I have never come across a company that was so awful with customer service like this. Anyways, looking at the pillow more, it consists of what appears to be the same filling as a lot of pillows you could buy on sale for $30-40 at a department store, and the "vents" are just little holes with mesh on the side with what looks like cheap stickers around it and do not function in "cooling" as they say. I have tried the Glacier pillow for a few nights now, because this one had a single insert that I removed, and it is not very comfortable, not cooling, and again feels similar to many cheaper department store pillow brands. And looking at their "warranty" more now that I have had this issue, they hardly cover anything unless your pillow just happens to combust while using it. But good luck proving that it wasn't your fault. I do not recommend this company's products. Buyer beware!
