The product itself works as intended. I purchased one last week as an experiment to see if it could be connected to the front USB-C port of a PS5 to transmit both sound AND charge the remote simultaneously. The short answer? No. However, when it comes to the intended use of the products it does its job and it does it well! I was able to test this out on my iPad Pro and the product enabled me to both charge my iPad and listen to it using my plug in headphones. I don't feel that the charge slowed down in any way which is a plus!

It apparently has some built-in software or firmware. I saw that load up on my iPad screen when I first connected the Belkin device to it. I saved the printed matter that came in the box with the Belkin device. I have not yet read that. I did have a problem when the sound momentarily stopped coming out of my large Brookstone speaker to which I have my new iPad connected. At the present time, the Belkin device works when connected to the new iPad and the Brookstone speaker. After I disconnected the Belkin device and connected my cell phone to the Brookstone speaker, no sound came out of either the large speaker or the cell phone's speaker. It had previously worked. My TCL cell phone does have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It has previously worked just fine with the big speaker. I hope that the next time I try to connect my cell phone to the big speaker, it works. I was not using the Belkin device the last time I connected my cell phone to my big speaker. It was not necessary to do that. I won't be returning my new Belkin device because I know that I definitely cannot hear any sound coming from my Brookstone speaker through my new iPad without it.

This is a very niche product. I use it because my vehicle (2013 gmc terrain sle) does not use bluetooth to play music. Newer phones ditch the digital to analog converter as is the case with my new galaxy s23 ultra, so an aux cord with a normal usb c adapter will not work in my car. Luckily this product has a built in dac chip. Plugging both the aux cord and usb cable from my car into this product and then into my phone allows me to play music off my phone through my car and charges it simultaneously. Im sure some people here are trying it with just one of the cables which will never work. This product works fine but loses a star because it is pretty wildly overpriced.

I've tried other adapters off of the popular river retailer, but so many of those wouldn't work when both ports were in use. This one on the other hand, simply works. The 3.5mm can be used standalone perfectly, and once you plug in a charge cable, it doesn't interrupt connectivity. It begins to charge your device, easy and simple. Take this tidbit with a grain of salt. Maybe it's just in my head, but in one of the family vehicles, we even noticed it kinda perform like a tiny audio amp when powered. Music is a tad bit louder, but not distorted.

This unit works well, allowing use of a headphone stereo plug while charging an iPad. There is one small issue I noticed worth a comment. If used with the original Apple power supply, the unit works properly and allows for charging of the iPad through the unit. However, if used with a generic power supply, especially one with a lower power, the unit does not charge the iPad. This may be why some reviewers say the unit doesn’t work. It appears to need either a higher power supply current (like from an 18 watt Apple charger) or perhaps there is some special protocol required of the power supply. So, just to summarize, it works as advertised with the original Apple charger, but not with other, lower power chargers.

I got this to replace a simple usb-c to headphone adapter I have been using since I damaged my 3.5 mm headphone jack on my phone. I don't use it a lot but it comes in very handy when I need it. I have two vehicles without bluetooth and I prefer just to use a wired connection. This lets me charge my phone and use headphones or the auxiliary input in my car at the same time. The sound is clean when it is charging and without any interference. I also like that it is small and simple and does exactly what I need it to.

I DJ dances and rent equipment for weddings and other large events. I use these all the time so people can connect their phone to a mixer while charging the phone at the same time. They work pretty well and seem to be sturdy enough to last a while. I have a tendency to lose them long before they wear out. These work better than the apple or samsung branded counterparts.

A good piece of hardware to facilitate safe driving & charging in older vehicles. Works perfectly - I would recommend for the anyone not ready to upgrade their work vehicle or students with an older first car

Works fine, but not worth the price. I'm using this in my car to charge and play audio with a Samsung S21+. Someone using it for more would likely have a better cost analysis. There's a USB C and an aux, not much else to use this piece for. It feels like good quality.

Recently went on a long trip in the car. My car doesn't have Bluetooth, so I normally just hook up my phone to my car via a USB dongle attached to an aux cord. On this trip, about halfway through the day, I realized my battery was going to die if I didn't charge it. I really didn't want to drive without my tunes, so I stopped at the next Best Buy I saw to see what was available. A very courteous staff member suggested this device, so I picked it up. It works exactly as advertised, and I couldn't be happier.

My new Motorola Razr+ 2024 (like most ne phones does not have a 3.5 mm audio jack. I have Audio technica Quiet Point wired headphones so I am not about to fork ou another $250 plus to replace them. This adaptor solves the problem. The built in DAC maintains the pristine audio quality and so far I have had no problems.

This adapter going from my Samsung note 20 ultra or my Samsung galaxy tablet to be able to adapt either one to my Soundcraft mixer adapter plug to stream music playlist works great, plus it also charges the battery, great feature to both stream and charge. Definitely recommend!!

I use this with my iPad mini and and monoaural (old fashioned) earphone. The audio component of this sometimes worked well at first and then only worked intermittently.. The charging component always worked. I switched to new earphones many times but this didn't resolve the problem. These are too expensive to break in such a short time. I recently bought the same adaptor again (no other options) that is is working well. I am trying to be extremely careful about the bending of the flexible cord. Fingers crossed. I theorize that the flexible cord portion is too long and is easily damaged. I would like to see either no cord or a rigid one. The question below asks if I would recommend this product and the answer is yes until there is another option.

I needed this to connect Bose headphones to my Samsung Android phone when I don't want to use Bluetooth. A less expensive Apple adapter connected the headphones but gave no sound, even though both adapter and headphones work fine with other devices. The Belkin just works.

100% love it it works Perfectively Not only allows me to listen to music, but as well. Allows me to manage phone calls and text. This device has really made my life easier. Not having an ox chord for my phone. I can't wait till I have enough money to buy somthing here again. And I'm out of this situation of horrible debt and no way to fix it. It would make my day If I'm received the award. Because genuinely speaking, it might be something that can help me be able to fix my life. If not perhaps I can have an xbox again who knows Is what it is I'm just happy. I can use my phone with my headphones now.

My product works great.I love that you can use it for charging and use it for your headphones also.The wire is longer than my rocket charger so I am hoping that it will last longer for me. I recommend every body to try it because it very convenient to have.
