    My wife's scanner wouldnot run off the USB port on the Surface Pro...this powered port solved that and gave her the extra ports she wanted

    This 4-port charger works well. I use it to charge 4 small 1-cel Lipo batteries at the same time for remote control helicopters. I have only used the charger plugged to the wall outlet and it works good, although it appears to take a bit longer to charge the batteries in comparison to charge a single battery. It also comes with an UBS cable to use other devices (e.g. Laptop) as power sources but I have never used it in that fashion.
