I needed it, but I usually biy the cheap ones that last about a year before they die. I was pleasantly surprised. This charges looks like it is good quality. It works great and charges very fast. I like how versatile it is too. Very pleased so far.

A little longer than preferred

Operationally, it works fine. At 24W, it provides significantly more power than the minimal 5W & possibly 10W cigarette lighter alternatives. It even includes a cable. The issue was the adapter is too long to slot into a cig lighter, and still have space for the car's trim lid to close, even without a cable installed. It protrudes a full inch, perhaps a little more, when seated. This is largely up to a customer to determine, of course, but it wasn't easy to estimate the full size and length of this charger in its packaging (at least, not at the time I bought it, which was in a tightly sealed cardboard box). Of course, one could return it after opening it, but no one wants to buy a previously opened box. I've designed DC-DC switching power supplies, and have some idea of the electronics involved for a 24 watt circuit. I think Belkin could probably have reduced the size of this adapter had it been a priority in the design. 24W is higher than its peers, certainly, but it still isn't a particularly high wattage. Perhaps the other issue is two USB-A ports. I would have preferred a USB-A and a USB-C. Does Belkin make that? Today, I would imagine so, but when purchasing this, I didn't notice such an option in the store. So, let's not let that influence the rating, but it would have been a preference. Operationally, this is 5/5 stars. In-service use, 4/5 stars, due to the length. We felt we had to purchase another adapter that was shorter (and in fairness, at only a 10 or 15W rating), but which also fit nearly flush with the cig lighter socket dimensions. Your mileage may vary, and in fact, some might prefer the longer length, particularly if you're removing this frequently. For us, it just sits in a box now, never getting used.

Capable solid charger

The cable that came with feels solid and stronger than most devices OEM. Because it lacks much in rigidity though, it may not be ideal when it gets cold out. Perhaps a flexible/woven cable would have been better. Also, if your 12V port is in a compartment with a lid, make sure it's tall enough to fit this. this isn't a flush mount/low profile port so it won't fit in my armrest, so i've moved it to my rear port to allow back passengers to charge devices.
