Four USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB A port. Has worked without a hitch. Have used with a USB C-to-DisplayPort adapter, as well as a USB C-to-HDMI adapter. Both worked great. Have a USB C hub connected without issue, as well as a USB A hub connected to the USB A port--no problems. My only reason for docking the rating: it would have been nice if they could have included the USB4/Thunderbolt 4 ports AND a couple HDMI or DisplayPort ports...or a couple additonal USB A ports.

Great thunderbolt hub !

As others noted the fact the the host link and power plug are on opposite sides. It works better then to position the pc in front of the hub instead of next to. I’m thinking of getting a second one while they are on sale.

I was really excited when the M1 MacBook Pro was released in 2021 and decided to buy it right away. However, I got the budget model, which only has two USB ports, and that has been a limitation for me. When I connect my recording equipment to make music, I often run out of ports. With the interface and the charger plugged in, I don’t have any available slots left for an external monitor, keyboard, or other devices. This new device has been a lifesaver, providing me with four extra ports. I can now use all my devices and even connect to external monitors. I’m very happy with this purchase. Thank you!

Good for MacBooks M Series

After experimenting with different docking stations for my monitor, this was the one that worked seamlessly. Has very good build quietly. But, it is very expensive for the price and for the amount of ports it prints. I would not recommend this for travel, but rather, as a desk dock. This is because the power supply used to power it is pretty big, bigger than the hub itself. Overall, this is the winner for M chip Macs.

However, I need something to work with my Mac mini. I’m not using this for a laptop. Therefore, I need the port that connects to my Mac mini and the power cord to be on the same side of the thunderbolt Hub. I’m going to try to find a way to use it because it is compact, but I might have to return it.

There is power pass-through to charge your laptop via its Thunderbolt 4 charging port and still have 3 more USB-C Thunderbolt ports via the back of the dock and a USB-A port on the front face. It comes with a 150W power supply. The specs are beyond what I currently use (40 Gb/sec compared to the usual 5 Gb or 10 Gb devices) but it's nice to know it's there.

I had previously used normal 3.0 hubs. I didnt know what speed I was missing. I got this after upgrading to the m4 MacBook Pro and along with a Thunderbolt 4 drive, everything loads super fast.

However, there are other T4 hubs available that are comparably priced and provide more options in terms of connections. Like all other T4 hubs, this unit can only support two monitors (4k or less). T5 will support three monitors.

Especially if you can find it on sale or open box. TB4 speed, charging, display all work as expected on M2 mac. My only real complaints are: Size and shape is a little big I personally would have liked all the plugs on one side or just the power plug on a side alone Otherwise, I've had no issues with this hub. I use it to run a M2 base mac off of ext.NVME TB drive. I've had as many as 3 monitors in ABC, MPC, thumb drives, card readers, audio interfaces etc. Not one problem,

Don't settle for these "USB C hubs" that are just a basic USB controller, this is a Thunderbolt silicon baby. This unlocks some really cool capabilities including driving 2 full 4k monitors off one cable plugged into your MacBook M1/M2/M3/M4 Pro or Max. Your desk will be free of clutter. I also would recommend getting the Apple USB C- Headphone Jack adapter for $9.99 and using one of those USB ports to drive your speakers for your desk - apple makes a surprising high quality DAC in that cheap little adapter.

Great Hub for MacBook
