Great Hub for MacBook

Used the thunderbolt cord it came with and plugged both of my monitors into the hub plus a webcam and speakers and it runs them all. Turns my MacBook into a desktop with one cord.

However, you can just get new cables and adapters to make this dock work especially when this costs less than $100 (on sale)

But the build quality on the Belkin is better. More importantly attached NVME SSDs are not powered and do not stay hot when the computer is off. On the Satechi, it does not shut off if the attached computer is off. So attached hard drives remain on which is not good overtime for the health of the drives.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using a MacBook Pro M1 chip this hub does allow you to output two screens using the USB-C connections on the back however, Belkin has many issues working with Mac as well as acknowledged software issues on their part. Unfortunately, this causes the frame rate to drop significantly, and the software cannot detect the hub.

Solid product could be better.

Needs more ports. I don’t want something that is just for my monitors but to also connect drives and dad cards and phone chargers. Ethernet would be a plus.

Good Device - That's It

Other thing I did not like was the design as the power port for the device is in the back, while the main-host Thunderbolt port is in the front. Finally, the price is okay. For a couple dollars more, you can get a TB4 port with more ports.

It works great and is recognized as a Thunderport 4 device by my computer. So what more can you ask for except a longer Thunderbolt 4 cable.
