Provides high speed wireless connectivity. Speed test shows little loss of speed from speed delivered to wired devices. Range of signal a bit disappointing.

      Hi, Michael1980,

Thank you for your feedback. Experiencing slow speed on your wired connection seems odd since the Belkin AC1200 is a Gigabit router. The type of cable used can be one of the factors causing it.

What type of Ethernet cable are you using? For optimum wired performance, we recommend that you use a Cat 5e or a Cat 6 cable. With regard to the range of the network, we suggest that the router should be placed in the central part of the house. Also, set its wireless channel to either channel 6, or 11.

Feel free to email us at BelkinCares@belkin.com for further assistance.

The price was good (< 100) - I was told it would be great for gaming but my kids tell me it is slower than our old one was. It is still OK, just doesn't meet expectations.

      Hi Grayranger,

It's good to hear that router is working fine in your network. We can actually improve the router's wireless connection by changing the router's location and adjusting the wireless settings. Be sure to place the router in a central location, away from wireless interference and physical obstruction. Then adjust the router's wireless channels. For the 2.4 GHz band, use channel 6, 9, 11, or 1. For the 5 GHz, you can try all the available channel and choose the one with the best result.

If you're experiencing slow wired connection, check the length of the cable. The shorter the cable, the faster the connection. Also, make sure that the computer/game console's Ethernet adapter has the latest driver.

Feel free to email us for further assistance. You can reach us at BelkinCares@belkin.com along with your contact details, reviewer name, and the link to this review.

My home is an older home made of wire plastered walls which knock down the signals. If this was used in a wood framed home it would be much better. Very easy to set up.

This unit has all the bells and whistles you need now and for the future. With the AC (5.8 GHz) standard included you get a wi-fi router that will not be obsolete for a long time. Easy to setup and I found that I could connect with all my devices with little to no problems. Only had to touch the button on the front to get my cell phone to work with this unit. Highly recommended and I got it on sale for a great price.

It was between Belkin and netgear. Both have good reputations, however Belkin won because I am here because of my netgear it was fairly new and went out just stopped working so I decided that going with a better brand and more updated router would be better. This was easy setup that I did from my phone. Connection has been great. Every now and then I have a slight issue, but it's nothing, major. Love the design. Thin router has done everything I need it today flawlessly. The beam technology making it a much better dependable router.

I bought this to replace the previous router of the same type, Dual Band, etc. that had fried on the inside. haha This one was about half the price (big selling point) and performed about the same. We've had it for about a month now and I find that when there are more than four, sometimes five connected products it tends to bog down a bit. Other than that no complaints so far! I only gave it four starts because of the bogging down and I'm hoping that doesn't worsen as the product gets older.

      Hi, LBowman,

The routers are expected to accommodate more than 4 or 5 devices. It is best to keep the firmware updated and check the speed that you are getting from the modem. To assist you in optimizing its performance, please email us at BelkinCares@belkin.com with your phone number and the link to this post so we can get you over to our Support team.

If you're looking for an extremely fast router for the many tasks of life and multiple family members using the WiFi, then this is it! I can load pages instantly when connected to this router and it makes life so much easier not having to wait for tasks to be completed. It also makes watching movies in HD really enjoyable. This is a great low priced high quality router. It supports my laptop, iPad & smart phone; my daughter's iPad & smart phone; and my 8 year old's and my husband's smart phones in different rooms of the house at the same time! I thought for the price we would have slow streaming and internet speeds but so far, we've been good to go! Thanks Best Buy staff for help picking it out!

I purchased this router a month and half ago. The router does not allow you to assign a permanent IP address for your server devices, ie...NAS, wireless printers and the like. If you need to access devices by IP address your access is restricted/prevented when the router has dropped the connection and reassigns the IP. The regular loss of internet connectivity was definitely not conducive to placing an online order or work task. Even though it was easy to use the setup wizard, the software lacks the flexibility you would expect to find in a good router for management.

So easy to set up, even a monkey can do it! Fastest wireless internet speed I've ever experienced for my home office, not just when it jumps from page to page, but also when it downloads files. Time is money. It's well worth the extra $50 to buy this AC model instead of the next step down, which is the N Router.

After buying a Linksys and then change to a new one, I chose to return it and buy this Belkin AC 1200 DB Wi-Fi Dual-Band AC+ Gigabit Router. Never more I had problems with it. The other two, one ended dead, and the other one froze and no one could bring them back to life. This, after one week of use. So sorry for haven't done this decision at the beginning. I wasted a lot of time with returning and Linksys customer service calls...

i purchased this router with the help of an associate who said that this router was fast and could have multiple people on however that wasn't the case.... I got home set it up which was easy but within a few hours I wasn't able to use the wifi i had to reset it which meant that i would have to re-enter the password and sure enough after few hours later the same thing would happen... then at times without even realizing it we would lose the wifi and be using our data and again i would have to disconnect and reconnect it. I was also told the range was great but there were times when i would have few wifi bars and other times when i wouldn't get a signal and have no bars.....all in all the product wasn't what i was told and really didn't work.. Thank goodness i still had the receipt and i returned the product for store credit.
