I gave to a coworker when they complained of wishing their new iPhone would allowed you to charge and listen at the same time. That is what this particular adapter does. You plug end goes into your iPhone, then you plug in the iPhone charger into one port and then the earphones dongle into the other. I believe they are specifically marked for each one. I am going to buy myself one.

Have an iPhone 7Plus which you can't charge while using headphones so this is the best solution. Just make sure you have the right connections in each side, for some reason charger has to go in right port and headphone in left.
