This adapter enables you to charge your phone while using a headset or earbuds. I wanted this for the sole purpose of being able to watch movies on long flights while also charging my phone. Note that it will not enable the use of two headsets or sets of earbuds at the same time; it is strictly for charging and using one set of earbuds.

The disadvantage of a single port on the newer iPhones is you can listen via your wired headset (after all your wireless headset has to charge sometime) or you can recharge your phone. Good luck with that. This solves that problem, lets you use your wired headphones and recharge your phone. It does not work as an audio splitter for two sets of headphones.

I love this cord Because I am able to charge both my phone, and listen to my headset at the same time while driving in my car. I think I’m on my phone mostly when I’m in the car in my phone quickly goes dead. So I really need the charger to work, but Often time I have people in my car and need to use the headset. With this device am able to do both at once

This is a dongle that is needed if you commute or like music on a plane ride ... and you own an IPhone 7/ plus Dont underestimate needing one of these at some point you will be out of battery charge and want to listen to music and charge the phone all at once ..combine it with a usb battery pack and its totally mobile ...

Very useful for iPhone 7 or 7 plus. Since they got rid of the headphone jack, you can't charge your phone and listen to music at the same time unless you use Bluetooth headphones. This will let you charge and listen to music at the same time using regular lightning plug headphones.

Excellent to connect it to your tv while charging!

I bought this cable because I DJ and needed to charge my phone and leave it running on pandora before my set started. Worked like a charm, I was able to use the lighting to mini mono cable as well as charge my phone at the same time. It seems very durable as well too.

I like to charge my phone and listen to music while In my car. Since the iPhone 7 doesn't have a headphone jack I wasn't able to do both anymore. It was either music or charge my phone. Now I can do both since my car doesn't have any USB ports and only an audio jack.

This is great...now my grandson is able to use this and continue using his phone for games, etc even when his charge is getting low since this adapter charges the iPhone and allows him to use the phone at the same time.

Helps when you dont have bluetooth headphones and want to listen using wired headphones and charge at same time. Also extremely useful when you need to charge and connect to TV at same time (used for netflix streaming)

My wife needs to use her iPhone for her remote clients. All that communicating causes the iPhone to need a charge. Using a earbuds to keep her hands free to type on her computer would not have been possible if not for this device.

When apple removed the audio jack, I'm not sure they thought it through. It made it impossible to listen to music, while charging the phone. This device allows me to have my cake and eat it too; or more accurately listen to music while charging my phone.

It does what it is designed to do, charge and listen. Like the Samsung commercial implies, it sucks to have a iPhone and have to carry around a bunch oh freaking adapters. I would recommend this adapter or recommend getting Bluetooth headphones.

Can’t charge your phone while using headphones? Problem solved! This device allows you use a 3.5 mm audio cable at the same time you are plugged into a charger. Works great. I use it where I don’t have Bluetooth but have an aux input

This product is a little larger than I wish it could be, but it is great quality. I use it daily in the car to charge my iPhone 7 while playing music. I am happy with my purchase overall, although it is pricey.

Allows newer iPhone users to charge and listen to headphones at the same time. I found it a little odd that mine only works when the lightning cable was plugged into the correct side; kinda like USB cables.

I bought this because when I am flying my battery is always low and I do not want to choose between charging and listening This adapter solves the problem It’s a good solution w/o going for a wireless headset

My iPhone 11 has only one lighting port. I can use it for charging the iPhone or for plugging in earbuds. This device has one lighting male connector that plugs into the iPhone and two female lighting connectors into which I can plug the charging cable and the earbud cable. It says that either cable can be plugged in to either female connector, but not more that one charging cable and not more than one audio cable. It works as advertised with no problems.. I think that it is overpriced, but I bought it because I needed the functionality.

This is a great item for those of us who are in the wired-age of headphones and/or cassette deck vehicles with no aux port! I can charge my phone and listen to music in my car on my cassette adapter!
