Turns out it doesnt work well with the case so its a good product we just couldnt get use out of it for what we needed.

Distorted

I went to best buy and bought a high priced AUX cable and the sound was still distorted and the volume was really low. I returned the item for a refund. There isn't anything else to use. The only down fall to the new iPad is no direct AUX connection.

Easy and convenient

I was using my phone for eight hours a day talking and listening so this made it possible for me to do this. I would recommend this product for anyone who needs plugged in earbuds in charging port at the same time.

It worked for exactly ONE day, and now the audio portion of the adapter isn’t working. Also, the main end that connects to the device (iPad for us) is VERY wobbly, and isn’t getting a good connection. For the price, this is awful. So disappointed.

The Belkin RockStar 3.5mm Audio + USB-C Charge Adapter (F7U080) should work longer than described. You can try to use a different 3.5mm audio device for isolation and, test the adapter with another USB-C device and see if that makes any difference.
