it works. both charges iPhone battery and allows audio listening through headphone jack at the same time. no background white noise during audio use and you're able to use the in-wire play/pause/skip track button if have those kind of earbuds. great purchase as long as you don't mind extra wires hanging about. most usable when you're stationary.

I need this to run an aux cable in my car to my iPhone XS, along with a lightning cable. This replaces one that I used for over 5 years. These type of splitters can often be flaky and degrade over time, but the Belkin one is the best, and for those without Bluetooth or CarPlay you can't beat the price or the amount of time you'll use it. Just be careful flexing it too much and you'll get many years usage.

Don't make the same mistake that I did. I tried to save some money by purchasing a cheaper adapter on EBay. The adapter ended up being garbage. This Belkin adapter works perfectly. I've been using it for a few weeks now to both charge and listen to my iPhone 8+ while in the car. The adapter works each and every time. It charges great and the audio delivered to my car stereo via the aux input is nice and clean. Highly recommended.

This solved the biggest problem with the iPhone since the disappearance of the headphone port. I fly often and charging my phone while watching a movie is a simple, but important capability. It may get less important in time as headphones move toward wireless (Bluetooth), but I still prefer my wired setup for now, so this little box is great.

With this thing of apple changing the phones to have only one spot to connect headphones (only the lighting cable fits) OR charger.... I got upset for not being able to use “normal” headphones as well as I can’t use headphone AND charge at the same time. This little adapter was one of the best acquisitions! It charges the phone while I also have headphones in to chat/watch a video and it works heavens!

This affordable adapter/jack does what it's supposed to do. It allows an iPhone lightning power cord to be plugged in for charging while simultaneously using standard 3.5mm earbud/headphones. I have an iPhone 7 and don't like the design of only 1 port, so accessory manufacturing companies are making more money selling adapters. Belkin makes reliable electronics and they're cheaper than the Apple branded items.

I upgraded my smartphone to iPhone XR. I knew it does not have regular headphone jack anymore. Therefore, I also made a purchase of this to ensure compatibility with my existing headphones. It is slightly larger than ideal, especially when watching youTube videos when lying in bed, but it works perfectly fine and I am happy with it. It does what it is supposed to do.

I had been using a lightning splitter with a lightning to headphone adapter. It worked ok, but performance could be unreliable at times with sound occasionally cutting out briefly. This all in one solution is a bit more expensive, but it has worked very well. Audio quality is very good and charging works well. This is worth the investment.

First, the product: It works great and exactly as described. Second, the Apple concept: I upgraded my daughter's iPhone 6s to an iPhone 8. Well, Apple decided that everyone should own a pair of their Bluetooth wireless headsets, so they did away with the 3.5mm headphone jack or, if you do decide to use their included 3.5mm to lightning adapter, you can't charge the phone at the same time. Sigh.... Buying her a set of $150.00 wireless headphones made no sense, so I invested in this instead. It is nice that she can charge and listen to headphones at the same time, just like she used to do with her old phone ... that didn't cost me an extra $35.00 for this adapter. Rant over. :-)

This works for new iPhones that don't have a headphone jack. Rather than buying blue tooth ear buds which may need recharging on a long flight, I can plug my wired ear buds into this and use while charging my phone or just use directly from the phone. A little cumbersome looking with wires hanging out while you're trying to listen to your device, but the Bluetooth earbuds require their own charger plus the phone so this way it's one less charger to bring along.

Bought thi because I listen to podcasts and music in my minivan. It’s old enough that it still has a cassette player. This gadget lets me charge my iPhone 8+ and plug in a phone to cassette adapter that has a mini phone jack on it. (No aus in the van.). Now I can keep the phone charging and listen to the phone at the same time. Drawback is that is expensive.

This little adapter worked like a charm for those of us that haven't splurged (or had the luxury of it gifted) on airpods, it's nice to have the option to be able to charge and use headphones. I've used it for a month now and haven't had any issues. Item was a bit pricey but there aren't very many MFI certified options out there so it's not too bad.

I purchased this for my wife when going on a road trip and she loved it. It works great, keeping her phone charged while still being able to listen to music through her earbuds.

It works great, I needed something to allow me to charge my phone and listen to music while I save money to replace my car radio and this definitely solved that problem.

Works excellent! Finally made the purchase even though the price is extremely high for such a small piece. It’s ridiculous that iPhone made the change to a single port! Hate it. Now you have to lug extra parts around to be connected for people like me who like to hard wire. Glad I finally spent the cash!

This adapter does exactly what I needed it to do. Allow me to charge my phone while listening with my Bose corded headset. My major complaint about the iphone was that it offered no way to do this. This adapter conveniently allows long calls, hands free while keeping my phone charged now.

I use my headphones for phone calls. Now that I have the iPhone 7, I realized I couldn't stay charged and take calls at the same time. I also use the iPhone 7 in the car and plug into the Aux jack on my stereo (no bluetooth). Definitely needed for those long road trips. I just hate that I need an additional adapter because Apple took the headphone jack away!
