A friend of mine tried multiple adapters with nothing working until she used mine, so if cheaper ones don't work for you this is a pretty good one while remaining affordable. No delays in the display either. I like it a lot.

They did this to, instead, promote their own screen-share tech, which they sunset recently [shocker] so BE AWARE.

Streams of videos, movies, or TV shows come across dark to the receiving monitor. Belkin uses a brittle plastic. Be careful not to drop it or drop anything on it. Run the HDMI cord from your TV to the HDMI opening in the adapter, then attach the other end of the adapter to your device. Bought it for streaming Eventive programs (many programs on the Eventive app don’t let you stream unless you are signed in from your Apple device). However, I discovered that when other apps on my Roku start buffering -Amazon Prime at 9 pm, for example - this cable connection eliminates the problem. Apple and Belkin products seem to work well together. This Belkin adapter supports 4K resolution at 60Hz.

This also allows you to connect USB devices to USB Computers. I have used this primarily to direct video from my MacBook Pro to a TV with HDMI when AirPlay does not exist. Mainly for hotel rooms and other locations when your favorite channel or streaming service is not on the TV. Allows me to watch my favorite MLB streaming games while traveling and in hotels. Super simple to use, plug and play.

I needed it to bring my macbook screen onto my larger HP monitor. Had a feeling it was the product itself so I went to BestBuy and bought theirs. Worked like a charm. I’ve had zero issues with it.
