There is a minimum and maximum fill line on the water level and regardless of how much water you put in the water heats up in just a few minutes. The lever on the back pops up and is lit with an LED to let you know the water is at temp which is very hot - be careful! Have enjoyed plenty of hot tea using this kettle. Would recommend

I was so joyful when I arrived here there it was online. Same beautiful tea kettle, same great quality. Feminine, works perfectly and I don't have to worry about leaving it and forgetting it and burning my apartment down. Just for safety alone it's a winner.

My whistling kettle is now on hiatus because of how convenient this kettle is. It heats up super fast and it is just super cute. I was dead set against an electric kettle but decided to give this one a try and am glad I did. Two thumbs up!
