Wonderful, inexpensive roaster! I checked the temps with an oven thermometer and at 350 the oven was right on. Got a little hotter at lower levels but not by much. I cooked 2 -13 pound turkeys and they were perfect, delicious, and using the roaster freed up my oven for all the other dishes I had to prepare. Great for holidays. Will use it again and again. Plan to use it this weekend again.

First time I used a roaster like this one. I've always been curious if this type of cooker performs similar to an oven. I tried it on a whole chicken and the result was impressive; brown on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. My only complain is that the temp dial knob does not provide feedback. I thought it was loose when setting up the temperature. I set the temp according to the manual and waited several minutes to see if it's okay. After a while the roaster started to heat up until it reached the desired temp. Hopefully, this is not a defect and I will find out more when I will use it on Thanksgiving.

Really smart design! You can brown a big roast in this first and then add all the other ingredients, turn down the heat, put the cover on and walk away! Self-basting design works perfectly and a 6 lb. roast will cook in half the time of a regular oven and be cooked to the exactly right temperature for serving. SO GLAD I bought this and it's fun and easy to use- cooking a new way is appreciated since I've been cooking for a LOT of people for a long time! Thanks, Bella :)

I got this to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving which I did. Here`s the deal the instructions that came with it not so great. I had to web search videos on how long what to expect etc. First use when warming it will smoke and smell, after it warms for 30 plus min it goes away. second instruction manual says 45 min for a 20 plus pound bird...wrong its approx. 3.5 hrs and last NEVER remove the lid to check the status of it, most buy a thermometer that will plug into the bird and see the temp outside without removing the lid. Removing the lid makes it take longer to cook. also the skin didn`t come out brown like a rotisserie chicken like you see at the market. Knowing what I know now I still think it`s a good purchase my turkey was very moist. I don`t regret the purchase the meat was really tinder, moist and well cooked done...I noted when cleaning it a day later all the juice in the bottom was straight gelled fat so I like that that was in the pan rather then my body.. the instructions are just that, how to turn it on clean etc...know the how long it will take and what not to do (keep taking the lid off to see progress) is a must so research it and don`t be 2 hrs late with the turkey like I was because of a lack of time to cook. overall for the price I like it

Bought this to free up oven space and was pleasantly suprised. I tested it last week and was shocked it actually cooks EXACTLY as the instructions indicate. I actually overcooked my 13 lb turkey only because I didn't believe it would actually work, so I allotted extra time, but it was done right when the directions said it would be (but I had to keep it warm because nothing else was ready). The turkey was evenly cooked and beautiful! Plenty of space for a larger turkey, which I will be trying soon!

We got this roaster on sell before thanksgiving & used it to cook our 20 pound turkey. It cooked the turkey very well which freed up space in our oven for other things. I would have given more stars but as I read in other reviews it did smoke briefly as it heated up but stopped after a few minutes also the outside gets very hot. Overall did what we got it for.

I have used this item twice to cook my turkey and it has been wonderful. It saves oven space and it cooks the turkey in a lot less time than my conventional oven. I purchased this when it was on the daily deal so it has been a wise purchase. I love it. The only fault that I have found is that the removal bowl has a sharp lip so we have to remove it with oven mitts not to avoid getting burned but to avoid getting cut if what you are removing is heavy.

It’s big afford a great price. I can’t wait to cook that turkey.

I thought the turkey roaster did an excellent job in cooking the large turkey we bought for Thanksgiving. I was able to use the oven to cook the other foods while the turkey was roasting in the roaster. I also liked how the roasting pan is removable. This feature made pouring the broth from the pan much easier and also made it easier to clean.

Nice size. The product is very simple to use. Make sure to put it on a counter that won't ignite.

This is huge! Easily roast a 24 pound turkey or leg of lamb. Easy clean up

Used this a few times to make approximately 25 pound turkeys. Cooked perfectly in less time then the oven. Has a removable ceramic pan that I lifted out and put under the broiler for a few min to brown the skin. Easy clean up!

I purchased this as a gift for my sister who needed a second "oven" to cook for Thanksgiving, The roaster is large enough for a 24 lb. turkey, and has the ability to cook many more items, such as frozen food (I think a smaller size frozen pizza would fit just fine). My sister is very happy with it... and I'm happy with that!

cooked the thanksgiving turkey in this roaster.it did a nice job the only problem was when I went to get the turkey out it fell apart. next time I will bake it at 300 and check it more often. the turkey was not dry it just wasn't very pretty.

I got this to replace a roaster that was passed down. Works great, just like the old one. Has a bigger capacity too. Can't wait to put the turkey in!

This was exactly what I needed to cook one of the two turkeys I cooked on Thanksgiving. We actually put it on the garage workbench (to save some counter space) and it cooked the turkey beautifully!

Heated up fast and it made the turkey moist. I have had a different one and it took longer to cook and dried out our turkey. With this new one I don’t have to worry about that anymore.
