Temperature controls only work when toasting, and even then it's not accurate when compared to my oven thermometer. Bakefunction has no temperature settings, the bottom element is on all the time so you're baking at 450° f at all times. Food on the bottom gets burnt because there's no tray adjustment. And speaking of the tray, it's made of a cheap metal that's impossible to clean. I relegate it to reheating cold pizza. Don't even bother cooking real meals. You get what you pay for. In this case it's not much.

Overall, this toaster oven is acceptable, but do not expect it to be amazing. Yes, the price is amazing, but you get what you pay for! I'm writing this review objectively for what this toaster oven is and isn't. Not a "wow, for the price" rating, because this is no 5-star device. I like the size - when toaster ovens are too big, they take nearly just as long to heat up as a regular oven, so what is the point? Quartz elements seemed like a good way to go for toasting bread, but in practice I'm just not very happy with them. Indeed, they heat quickly, but the downside is that they kind of just lightly scorch the outside of toast with infrared without actually heating up the interior or getting that nice mallard reaction caramelization. I've found preheating the oven a bit before inserting the bread helps a bit, but that kind of negates the benefits of the instant-heat of the quartz. Toast doesn't come out as good as my slot toaster. Baking cookies is terrible. The outside will be dry or even burnt, while the interior still dough. No amount of pre-heating has changed this. Roasting vegetables, cooking nuggets or frozen dinner rolls all turn out pretty decent. Reheating pizza works much better than the microwave. * The rack has to be flipped for even toasting. It is a pain. * The tray gets caught in the rack, so pulling out just the tray is nearly impossible without the rack coming with it. * The tray has annoying groves around the edges that are a bit hard to clean. * The "darkness" settings (really just a timer) are horribly inaccurate. You have to watch the toast or it will definitely burn. * The temperature control is confusing. Why is the bake setting its own fixed setting? What the heck are the other temperature settings if not baking? * The crumb tray cannot be slid out, it just dumps downward so you have to beholding the oven over a sink or garbage awkwardly. On a budget, I'm not sure you'll get much better than this toaster oven. It may also serve as a good starter toaster oven, to see if you'll use it vs a normal toaster or regular oven. However, there are lots of reasons to want to upgrade to something nicer and better designed.

Returned, did not meet my expectations. Has only two heating elements (one on top and one on bottom)

almost burned my apartment down. It gets way too hot and my bread Caught on Fire!

This product was cheap ( I bought it on sale) and the quality reflected that. I ended up tossing it after about 2 months of use. It was small and difficult to clean (no catch pan).

I got it because it was cheap. Good for toasting bread at 300 degree or less. Anything higher temperature is not recommended because it will burn (I think because the roof of the oven is too close)

Lasted only 2 years. The top burner went out. Also didnt like that it doesnt have a latch to pull out the tray when opening.

This oven is really small but for 15 bucks I can't complain, great for someone living alone doesn't use as much electricity

I loved it at first, but now, for the past month, every time you open the door, one side slides up. Basically it is never closed all the way.

The goid news is the toaster oven gets hot, The bad news is it toast very uneven. You have to turn and turn it

If you stand and watch your toast you will be fine but if you dont it will either burn Or not toast enough. Im not crazy about this unit. Ive had many different toaster ovens in my lifetime and while not the worst it isnt the best either. One plus though is it has a bagel setting which works well.

I didn't like the way the buttons functioned on this. For instance, to set the timer for less than 10 minutes, you had to turn the timer past the 10 minute mark, and then back to the desired time. That is an antiquated concept, especially for a new toaster oven

I bought this to replace my 12 yr old toaster. I was not impressed. I would have been better off wirh just another 4/6 slot toaster. This also does not hold 3 slices of bread or toaster evenly.

Had an issue when picking up product. The store accidentally signed off a release of product. I end up calling best buy customer service, as well as the store . My surprise my items were still at the store.

Toasting was difficult to adjust. Toast came out burnt because the heating elements seem to be too strong

The toaster was smaller than I anticipated and looked cheaply made. Of course it was not really expensive, so I guess I got what I prayed for.

This toaster oven works, but is hard to keep clean and easily burns one end of your toast every time. It was cheaper than all the others and I see why.

Product works but toast in uneven. Works well if you watch it but who wants to. As an oven it works fairly well but I bought it mostly for toast.
