The cooker cuts itself off, perfect eyes every time. And only seven minutes and you have perfect hard boiled eggs each time. If you put the right amount of chill water there will be no issues with the cooker, as I had first but a little vinegar cleaned it up. It cooks the poached eggs wonderful also
