When I tried poaching, I forgot to coat the surface with cooking oil. Big mistake!!! The surface seems to be permanently compromised (not smooth). Even after extensive scrubbing. Overall, it's a lot more convenient than the stove top method.

It's been used every day and was very convenient to use. Just put the right amount of water and it will do the rest without having to watch the eggs cook. The only issue was the baked on stain that developed after using it daily. I was able to remove the stain using vinegar.

Bought just to use up a $5 certificate

At first I thought this was a really stupid thing to buy but after I tried it --I love it. just to have the shells peel away so easily is worth the purchase price. And so easy to set it and forget it. Although I promised myself I would not buy any more kitchen gadgets I bought this and I'm glad I did.
