Great design but impossible to clean

Boiled works as advertised. Cooking is consistent. Cooling the eggs can be done without oven mitts if you're careful but the handle size and placement easily allow for oven mitts or potholders. I tried poaching last. Cooking was consistent with directions. The tray is very difficult to remove because the handle is too small. An oven mitt or potholder will touch the eggs even if you try to help with the other hand. The eggs did not remove easily. I didn't oil/grease the tray as the directions didn't call for it and the tray looked like it might be non-stick. Wrong. The dishwasher didn't budge the egg residue. An hour soak in hot water and Dawn followed by a soft scrubber didn't work either. If I do get it clean, I expect olive oil to leave a messy residue inside the entire unit on my next attempt. This one's likely headed for the recycle bin.
