Do need to adjust settings for type of bread being toasted, which may take some experimenting. However, one can always use the "cancel" button to pop up the toast. I appreciate the slide out crumb tray - makes cleaning easy. Would buy again.

When I ordered it I glanced at the photo and thought it was a 4 slice unit. (Which is really what I wanted) However, it matches my other units and is nice for big Texas loaf types of bread. Can't wait for them to put a 4 slice on sale LOL
