it overheats and stops working in less than a month

I enjoy the exterior design of the Air Fryer and its one of the first air-fryers I’ve seen that I would keep on my countertop, from the aesthetic viewpoint. The single-handed basket is easy to remove, simple to fill with food, and requires very little effort to clean when cooking is completed. What I can’t stand is that this unit is described as a touch screen. Take a look at the photo I’ve attached and what you’ll discover is that none of the buttons in the yellow square are touch-enabled. To navigate to these options one must press the Menu button multiple times. Anyone remember the early Nokia cell phones where all they had was a 12-button layout so each button represented up to 4 different keys? Yeah this device is like those phones. So when I slap a bunch of French fries in the unit I’m mashing the Menu button SEVEN TIMES! Madness and not what I would consider to be a touch-screen. At least I can shortcut the madness by ignoring the provided button for “French Fries” and “Wings” and just set the temp and time manually. The end result of cooking in the Bella Pro is delicious air-fried food which makes up for the lack of a true touch screen and perhaps the crispy perfection of sweet potato fries will eventually make me forgot how much of a pain-in-the-butt it is to start this cooking process with this thing.

Air frying is really great. I can't rave about it enough... It cuts out all the needed oil to deep frying and allows for the grease and fat to drop off of what you are cooking to reduce the oil consumption. Setup was 1 min or less. I just washed the pat and bottom screen and I was up and running. Super simple buttons and settings to use. Handle and size are a good size. It fit a bunch of full size wings see photos. 1 word of caution. The bottom screen has a bit of a sharp edge. Be care when handling and washing it. My classic chicken wing turned out great. Not oily and crispy and tasty. Simple recipe of garlic powder, garlic salt, and butter. I packed it in there and just kept rotating and I was all set. Look of stainless steel is nice and modern and easy to clean. All of the oil that was generated from the air fryer collected at the bottom and poured out easily. My family really enjoyed the wings. It was tasty and crunchy and not too oily. Controls are super easy to use. I would recommend this product.

Bella Pro Series - 4.2-qt. Digital Air Fryer Model 90174 This newest air fryer from Bella is another step forward for home cooks. I’ve owned a few variations of both Bella’s and other manufacturers’ countertop ovens and air fryers. This appliance is a standout for a few reasons, all very positive for our family cooking efforts. To begin with, this Air Fryer is extremely quiet. I usually take sound level readings but the noise level was below my typical ambient kitchen noise. We weren’t sure it was actually cooking, but it sure was. Quietly. The Bella is very fast. We had to cut back the already short cooking time for our first batch of thick, curly french fries almost in half. They were crispy browned, hot, and softly potatoey in the middle. If we wanted to take a peek at the cooking progress, it was easy enough to pull the drawer open, shake up the food if needed, and slide it back in. Cooking restarts without any intervention from us. For some foods and cooking processes, we never had to look up time or temperature. The Bella has a menu screen that cycles through popular cooking styles and foods, making a really good estimate of time/temperature we might use successfully. Worked out well for these fries. Other food items were often spot on. If we wanted to finish cooking a pan seared steak, chicken, or pork loin, this small table top oven was a most effective and energy efficient appliance. All Auto settings in the on-screen menu are adjustable, most often within a range of 1-60 minutes and 170-400F. A few settings are limited in sensible ways (Keep Warm between 150-200F). Bella fills out its Touch Screen Auto settings with Air Fry (20min; 400F); Bake (25min; 350F); Roast (30min; 400f); Broil (10min; 400F); Reheat (6min; 250F); Keep Warm (60min; 170F); French Fries (18min; 360F) and Wings (20min; 360F). And, again, these resets can all be modified very easily. Just press the up or down buttons in the upper right or left of the screen and choose a more desirable temperature of time. Everything is easy to clean. Controls are logical, never requiring a search for the user manual after the first day of use. Visitors quickly get the hang of it. But, of course, if you want to fully manage times and temperatures, you can ignore the auto settings and take charge. I’d point out any issues, but I couldn’t find anything to fuss over. Recommended.

This was our first air fryer, so I can't really compare to other fryers. I bought it about a month ago. There's two of us in the household, and we've found that the 4.2qt capacity is sufficient for pretty much anything we cook. The touchscreen menus are good starting points, especially for the temperature setting. But I always Google the item to get an estimate on cooking times. Standout food items so far: - Great reheated fries and hash browns. Wow! So good. - I've baked muffins in silicone muffin cups. - How about a little 2-person meatloaf? Excellent! - Egg bites are great. Make up a mixture, put it in muffin cups or ramekins. They come out nice and browned on top. The unit runs surprisingly quietly. It's also super easy to clean. So far I'm super happy with the unit. Hopefully it proves to last a long time.

This fryer is good for 1-2 people but might work for more. I like how the timer shows seconds and reminds me to unplug when done. Even though it doesn't have a shake reminder, I just break the cooking time in two. This fryer is small and fits well in my kitchen. Here's a tip: use the menu button to change cooking modes, and you can even make great frozen hash browns. Overall, Bella's fryer is great for its price and does its job well. It's good-looking, easy to use, and cleans up quickly. I'd recommend it!

We are in the season of having little kids and this saves my sanity. It’s so easy to pop in some frozen chicken nuggets or broccoli to heat it quickly and still retain a nice crunchy texture! Microwaves make everything so mushy but there’s are as delicious (if not more) than right out of the oven while saving me from waiting for a long preheat and subsequently heating up the whole house. It’s a nice size that sits under our cabinets without taking up precious cooking space in and without looking like a huge appliance has taken over our kitchen. There’s a bake setting that we havnt quite figured out yet but the air dry setting makes day old pizza look delicious in 5 minutes. This is great for small meals, quick sides and easy reheating! I have 2 kids under 2 and this has been a lifesaver when I’m exhausted at the end of the day. Great product that will live in our counter ( but would also store easily if needed. I think it’s the perfect size and has made my life so much easier! If you’ve been looking for one- this is the one for you!

First air fryer and 100% recommend this unit. It is well built; the stainless steel construction is easy to clean and holds up well in the kitchen. Inside basket is easy to clean and seems to be of high quality. Relatives have a smaller size off-brand unit that is all plastic so I decided to go with a larger unit and was able to find this one for a good price. Has held up well. Only complaint is the touch-screen menu, the buttons are sensitive and sometimes unresponsive, not sure how long the screen itself will last. Otherwise seems like a well-made appliance.

Very affordable and I purchased this after having such a good experience with the Bella Pro blender. Very easy to use. Straight forward instruction. However, I have yet to get my fries to turn out as nice looking as the photos. I did get an avocado oil sprayer so I would add less oil. I'm still at the entry-level (used it about 5 times), but so far so good. I bought a different brand about a year ago but returned it immediately since it was too tall to fit under the counter. This one fits fine, although I still store it in a cupboard. P.S. Make sure you run it through a complete cycle DRY (not food) to prep it, or (like us) your first batch of food has a plastic smell--only the first time.

This air fryer leaves food crispy, it looks like I actually fried it in oil. It's perfect!! Other airfries I've had didn't let me the food is so crunchy. This is the BEST air frier I've ever used. As it is made of non-stick material, looks like T-fal inside, and is very easy to clean, dirt and grease do not stick easily. The toast is perfect in 3 minutes and it makes super crispy bacon. I didn't know this brand before, but now that I know it, I'm a fan.

Bella Pro series 4.2 QT air fryer with the touchscreen has been a great addition to my kitchen. The stainless-steel finish matches perfectly with my existing appliances. Besides having the Air frying mode, it bakes, roasts, and broils. What I really like is that you can reheat or keep food warm while preparing other dishes. I was looking for a larger size, but since our son has returned to college the 4.2 qt size is perfect for me and my wife even though it says it cooks for 4-6 people. Whether we are doing veggies or roasting potatoes, everything comes out great and the cleanup is a snap. I especially like the reheat option that lets me reheat meals without turning the oven on and making the kitchen hot. The digital display and touch screen make using the Bella a no brainer and allows easy wiping up after use. The Bella is not overly large and allows easy storing either on the counter or in a cabinet because of its compact size. I really like this air fryer and thing it would make a great addition to any kitchen.

This air fryer is awesome, I gave it 5/5 cause it makes cooking so much easier. Food comes out crispy every time and I dont even need much oil at all. Super fast, easy to use, and cleaning it is way quicker then using a regular oven or pan. The basket is a good size for me and it heats up food way better then a microwave. Honestly I use it almost everyday now, one of the best kitchen buys I made.

Idk why i waited so long to get an air fryer. Everyone has been raving about them for years. I finally decided to take the plunge. I do a lot of research whenever I buy electronics or appliances. This came w/great reviews. They are all true. It’s a great price too! The whole thing is light weight, so it’s easy to move if needed (great for small kitchen spaces). It doesn’t get very hot at all on the outside. The drawer has an excellent non-stick grate where the food sits, so it’s VERY easy to cleab and legit NOTHING sticks so it. It’s QUIET while on. Very easy to use. Many settings. Cooks perfectly. Looks expensive. Touch screen. I freakin LOVE this air fryer! I’m glad I waited and got this one. I definitely would buy it again or give as a gift.

Air fryers have been out for awhile and my daughter just purchased me one for Christmas. I was reluctant to buy one because of it being just another thing to take up space. I’m so happy she got it for me, not only is it not big but it is so convenient for me to use and I don’t even want to use microwave. I cut a sweet potato and a russet potato up , shook them in a ziploc bag with a teaspoon of oil, salt and pepper threw it in air fryer and set time for 18 minutes opened it up halfway through and shook them around put it back in and restarted it for last 9 minutes. The French fries were the best I’ve ever had and they were not fried . So much healthier for my family. I can’t wait to make chicken wings!

This is a high quality air fryer, and very efficient. It is also stylish and modern looking. It looks great on my counter top. The touch screen is simple to use, and you have plenty of options for cooking food. This air fryer is also the perfect size for my work cabinet. I've cooked chicken breast, nuggets, breaded cheese sticks, french fries, reheated steakn etc. It cooks everything thoroughly and quickly. Sometimes too quickly. I've found that you have to be careful with the cooking time. It seems to cook food faster than the larger airfryers I normally use. The cooking time seems to be a bit shorter in most cases. I found out the hard way, lol. Just set it on the lower end of the recommended cook time and check it a minute or two prior to it finishing. Clean up is a breeze with the non-stick coating. Just use some soap and water and sponge or brush to clean after it cools down. Don't wait too long, otherwise the grease/oil can be difficult to remove. Likes: 1.) Easy to use 2.) Very efficient 3.) As someone who has owned air fryers before, I really like Bellas Pro Series Air fryer, this particular one holds 4.2 quarts of food inside its tray, and features a touchscreen, and is overall smaller (which is a good thing) than my previous air fryer which was big and bulky. Like I mentioned before, this air fryer comes with a touchscreen, the way you get started is, you turn it on, then press the menu button to scroll through the different preset settings. Each One of the eight settings is a little different in that each one offers a different temperature and a different timer, for example to air fry something, the “Air Fry” option will heat up to 400° and have a timer of 20 minutes. The “Reheat” option will heat up to 250° and have a timer of six minutes. The air fryer heats up right away and starts cooking, it looks and feels premium and I have zero complaints, it might take you a few tries to get familiar with the different options but at the end the food comes out hot crispy and delicious.
