The inside cooking tray is not a separate basket like some models. It has several rubber bushings around the edge to avoid scratching the outer container so we will see how long they hold up. For relatively light use in our cabin this was a good choice. We've had no problems thus far.

Nice replacement for the recalled defunct Insignia

I loved both of them. But, I didn't want my house to burn down. This had been a pretty worthy replacement. It is superior in that it is easier to clean, and a little inferior in that it takes a little longer to cook. Although, that may be why these don't burn up. So, I'm okay with that. I recommend this.

I was small and ended up burning everything i cooked. I decided to try an air fryer one my time. I am so glad i did. This one makes great fries. They are nice and crispy but not burnt. I can wait to try it out on some other foods.
