Had high hopes for this item. Alas it wasnt to be. Looked good out of the box. a little lighter then I expected but the suction feet held good to the counter. I had a small cooked roast to slice. I took it out of the fridge and let it set for about 30 minutes. Squared up the edge and started to slice. I did not want to exert to much pressure on the holder so it took a few slices to get the proper thickness. I sliced about 10 slices and then heard the dreaded grinding of plastic gears against each other. I stopped and looked to see if anything was jammed and all was clear. Started up again and the noise was still there. Packed up the slicer and will return it tomorrow. I read the reviews prior to buying but decided to try it anyway. Poor decision. I would stay away from this as even being gentle in operating the slicer it lasted about 5 minutes and 10 slices.

why pay when i can slice it myself and to the thickness i like.

It’s not commercial quality, but it gets the job done…at home. The grocery stores in my city will no longer slice any meats. I needed this to slice ham and a roast to make beef jerky

This thing is a piece of CRAP!! The blade sits too low, so whatever you're slicing, gets hung up at the bottom, the adjustable back that the item being sliced rides on flexes backwards, the adjustable back moves if you apply too much pressure when slicing. I had to hold the adjuster knob with one hand while moving the slicing table with the other. I tried slicing turkey, ham, and 2 kinds of cheese. You cannot do a "deli-thin" slice with this garbage; everything flexes too much. Slices come out inconsistent. I am not even going to talk about the grease on the back of the blade that gets on the food. Complete waste of time and money.

Picked up on sale. It gets the job done, easy to clean and maintain, and for the price was a steal. Only complaint I have is the thickness control can slide a bit, but you just have keep an eye on it.

Cuts like a pro, only wish the blade was easer to remove for cleaning.

Used it for the first time on frozen meat. Was ok, but the adjustment for slice thickness does not stay in place. So one minute you are slicing say 1/8th inch and the next it gets bigger. Not really what I appreciate when attempting to pay attention to the slicing motion.

The item arrived in a crush and wrinkled original box with clear tape all around it as if the box might fall apart. Unacceptable! I returned the item without opening it and asked for a replacement, I was told that was the last one. Why would anyone less long a big business mail something looking like that to a consumer. The very next day they had the exact same item in stock for a higher price, still on sale. Even though it was one of the Deal of the day. Poor Business Practices ! Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture to upset!!

LIKE IT A LOT, BUT I ONLY USE IT A LITTLE BIT. IF YOU ARE CUTTING MEAT ALL THE TIME, YOU MIGHT WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY !!! GOT IT ON THE DEAL OF THE DAY & VERY NICE FOR THE MONEY...

It does not cut deli meat evenly. We had trouble getting thin slices. It does have a sharp blade though.

Does a very good job with the size that it is. The suction cup base keeps things from sliding around. It's on the loud end, but for the price you pay I imagine this is appropriate.

This thing is an utter piece of crap. It’s 3AM and I just found out I missed being able to return this thing by 3 hours, This couldn’t slice through bologna without smelling up my entire kitchen like it was about to catch on fire the 1 and only time I tried using it. And, that when it did slice more often than not, it couldn’t cut all the way through it. I believe anyone who gave this piece of junk a good rating, was obviously paid for their review and didn’t actually use it. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!! I am only giving it 1 review because zero isn’t allowed!!
