Meh! It's OK, but nothing to write home about. READ the directions first. I initially removed the blade to clean it. The backside of the blade and the area the blade is attached to has excess clear lubricant, sticky stuff. It is possible any food sliced could contact this area of the back of the blade. Clean the blade first and wipe up any excess off the back that can transfer back to the blade surface. The lubricant only needs to be on the plastic contacts. The adjustable backing plate is flimsy and will give towards the top if you push too hard to hold the meat against it resulting in an uneven thickness. Also, the slide tray is awkward to push. You need to stand behind the end of the slicer and push the slide tray forward and not stand facing the blade pushing the tray sideways. Also you cannot push to hard/fast forcing the cut. It's best to push slower and let the blade do the work at its speed. Cleanup is a PIA. Removing the blade is not all that bad, but wear a thick glove on one hand to handle the blade; it is SHARP! I use a soft dish brush to clean both sides of the blade in soapy water while it lays in the sink. The meat tray does not remove from the slide rail. Cleaning the tray and backside of the slicer with a soapy washcloth is easy enough, but is a pain to remove the soap residue afterward. You have to man-handle the entire unit (not real heavy, but bulky) over the sink to rinse being careful not to get any electrical area wet. I don't want soap in my food. Unless you use this for very thin slicing, for steak&cheese or sandwiches, and slice a whole roast or brisket at one time like at the deli, I find it really is not worth the work for cleanup. All other slicing I can do as well with a sharp knife and not have the mess to clean up. Make sure you have the storage for this. If you have small children DO NOT leave this out on the counter. Even with the blade adjusted to 0 thickness, it can still be touched with a finger and it WILL bite you like a razor blade. Overall for me it is OK for the half off sale price, even if you only occasionally use it.

After a few months, I have a chance to use this slicer. It is not as powerful as the pro machine, of course. However, it will get the job done if you are patient. The thickness control board needs to be redesigned. If you put more pressure on it, you get a thicker slice. For slicing meat, you must free it first to get good slices.

I purchased this meat slicer for home. It saves so much money instead of purchasing meat and cheese at the deli. I can set the thickness to my own preference. My neighbors are enjoying the slicer as well. Its easy to use and clean up.

Many parts are made of plastic so not for commercial usage but for home use it is perfect in my opinion. The motor is pretty strong so slicing frozen meats is no problem, just need to go slow and easy. One positive note is that I find it easy to clean after each use.

This slicer is ok for the money, it is a little under powered but will cut ok if your not cutting very big. clean up isn't too bad takes about 10 -15 min. Its also best to use a Quarter & not a screwdriver to unlock the blade because of the soft metal. So far So good.

Love this little slicer! It isn’t a huge restaurant one, so it easily fits in the cupboards. And it slices meats, cheese and our homemade bread with ease. Also is very easy to clean.

So happy that I purchased this slicer. Great sharp edge, easy to use , adjustable thickness and clean. It’s not a beast, it wouldn’t cut it in a commercial environment but it’s perfect for kitchen/party prep.

The Good: Great value. Nice to have item. The Bad. Meat (or whatever is being cut) pushes the slice size adjustment out of place while in use; you have to hold the lever to get anything less than the maximum slice size. There is no place designed in the rear of the unit to catch the meat (or whatever); it just falls behind the unit to the curved back of the unit or onto the counter. It is also a pain to clean; the blade has to be removed for proper cleaning (and so as not to slice your hand while cleaning). After each use it really has to be cleaned thoroughly. So it has some drawbacks but the advantages outweigh them. With last use, rather than cutting a roast daily for 4 days, on day 2 (when it was cold and firm), I sliced the remainder completely and had roast beef for 3 days, just having to heat it up or have it cold for sandwiches. That was a real time saver and I only had o clean once rather than daily.

Great value machine. You’re not going to open a deli with this machine but great for cutting ribeyes for cheesesteaks. The machine wobbles a bit but that’s only when you’re giving it the business!
