Please see pictures --- the plastic piece that is very sharp and right where your wrist would be rotating the carafe to clean. Very bad design. Also, you can see in the pictures how water and suds are stuck between the glass and the metal and the glass and the plastic. Again, bad design. This would not be a good value even if it were free because of risk.
