As a fan of Berserk this game is a must play and is much more polished than the prior Berserk game on Dreamcast. It captures the Berserk universe perfectly and retells the story from the beginning for newcomers as well. The gameplay of course is pretty much standard fare for a musou game, but as a Berserk fan I can look past the repetition.

If you are a fan of the berserk manga/anime you will love this game as it plays just like what happens in the manga...but if you have not read or seen the anime the gameplay plays just like any other dynasty warriors game with the whole 1 versus a whole lot of enemies so if you are not into those type of games this game is not for you.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is the pinnacle of musou games, as far as I’m concerned. Omega Force and Koei Tecmo have experimented with the formula for years, and everything they’ve learned and perfected has led up to this game. Berserk Musou gives you the addictive, outrageous hack-and-slash combat musou games have had for ages.

This game has better graphics and more variety than the average "Musou" game. The voiceovers are in Japanese only (with English subtitles), which doesn't bother me personally but might bother players who don't speak Japanese.

This game is awesome. Very true to the anime. The Japanese version has been censored due to gore. the western version has not. Excellent hack and slash and very gory. Not for kids.

This is the way I envisioned a Berserk video game to be. Fits perfectly with the Dynasty Warriors type gameplay, I only wish it had online coop capability. Disappointed about that.

If you've played any "warriors" game and enjoyed them along with loving the berserk manga, then this is definitely a good investment. Otherwise it's the berserk series cut and condensed into a hack 'n slash action format with little difficulty in demolishing your enemies (including bosses) and some exclusive cg and 2D (from the movies) cutscenes sprinkled here and there. This game doesn't have nearly the same depth the manga can portay, but the 1 vs 100+ gameplay style can be fun in small doses.

Fans of the Berserk manga/anime and also the Dynasty Warriors or Musou games owe it to themselves to pick this up one up. It follows the opening arcs of the manga, and even has some anime content included. You will be cutting down legions of enemies in this playing as various characters such as Guts and Griffith. This is the perfect game to zone out to and just beat down some baddies. But be warned, it does delve into some fairly dark content, so parental discretion is advised.

Is you thought Berserk was about anything else other than all out bloodshed then you sadly mistaken .. Beserk brings back the classic hack and slash genre to the fore front in a very elegant and bloody way .. this game is not for the weak willed or sensitive type .. it is brutal and I loved it .

This game is cool for berserk fans, but I'm still more inclined to recommend the Berserk-inspired Dark Souls and Dragon's dogma over it. The game runs at 30 fps on normal PS4, and from what I can tell, 30 fps on PS4 Pro too, although it may be a personal issue for that one. It's a bit slow, plodding, and lacking content compared to some of the other Warriors style games, but fans will enjoy it, and it can still be fun to mow down hundreds of enemies with little effort.

If you're a fan of the Dynasty Warriors games you will certainly enjoy this. This game plays the exact same as a DW game and follows the Berserk anime exact.

The first half of the game is great, taking cutscenes from the anime. The latter part felt incomplete because it lacked additional scenes of that nature.

This game is great if you're a fan of the series (manga, anime, movies). If you do not know or follow the show, this is a good introduction for it.

I would only recommend it if you're a hardcore fan of the Berserk anime. Other than that, it's an average beat-em-up style game similar to Dynasty Warriors franchise.

Great story and characters but the gameplay can get a little repetitive, but it a musou game so it's expected.

More quality gaming from the crew at Omega Force. Tried and true, albeit somewhat tired, formula works again.

Hands down I love this game. I am a huge fan of the manga and anime. This game is a must for fans of the series its everything you'd want in a musou game. For first time players this is a great way to break into the series.

A must have game for anime fans who wants to see the rest of the berserk storyline. Hack and slash game.

Berserk is a modified version of Dynasty Warriors, which is great because I love it's mindless fun.
