Meaning i did not have a router of my own to plug in. This Ethernet cord had to go into the wall where the complex had placed it. I got the longer cord so that it would reach to my computer area. Great cord, never gave lag or issues.

So, when BestBuy had this Insignia 10' Cat-6 Cable on sale, I jumped on it immediately. After I installed this Cat-6 Cable, I noticed a difference right away, as my router speeds were faster on my main computer which is hard-wired. This Cat-6 Cable was an excellent choice for my new Linksys 6E Router.
