But if you value better bass response from a good sounding subwoofer, consider upgraded cables. These are very "boomy" and will knock your socks off if you want loud bass. For my ears, they produced foggy bass on both music and movies. Bass, in my opinion, should blend in with the higher frequencies and not call attention to itself. You notice it, but not let it overwhelm you (unless you like that). I spent a little bit more and got AudioQuest - Irish Red and the sound was improved greatly. Much smoother than these.

I went back to my old cable and the problem went away. It must be an issue with the shielding or something.

Was working well until the 1st time I unplugged the sub to have new carpet installed. That is when the metal cover over the plastic center pin of the plug separated. This has let me down big time as I have no way to easily replace the cable from the built in cabinets. I am aware I can cut and replace the end, but this part must be ordered and not the best solution for this cable. Should have bought a beefier one. Mistakably though a Best But store brand would have been of better quality, but unfortunately they have bought into the same China junk that the rest of corporate America has.
