Using an older monitor as a second monitor but my computer didn’t have a port for the cable connection it came with. This did the trick.

This worked and at a cheap price as well. A lot of stores are no longer carrying these cables so it was pretty great to go into a store and pick one up that very day.

It didn't have cables, though. Best Buy to the rescue, with Grandma's help... His monitor was up and running in no time.

Hopefully your GPU or motherboard still has a DVI plug though or you're going to need an adapter.
