I had to admit I didn't know that there was a (display) port until I got a new computer. My old one was at least 15yr old. Got the new cable and plugged in it. Works great and makes my new computer even greater. The pic messy but gets the job done. By the way I'll be 77 in a few months.

Got a new laptop and a suitable docking station to use at home with my 3 monitor setup. Although all 3 monitors had HDMI outputs available, the new docking station needed to have 2 of them hooked up via DP. These cables did the job well! Pic is of the monitor setup - a pic of the cables wouldn't be very interesting.

Super easy and just what I needed for dual monitors. Just plug one end into the desktop and the other into the second monitor. No set up needed, it automatically sets it up and turns on.

Be aware that it's unidirectional (i.e., the source has to be displayport and the output has to be HDMI). Got this to quickly replace a buggy/bad DP to VGA cable and it's a great replacement and has been working fine.

Needed a set of these for my work office so I could run a dual-monitor setup on a newer Dell laptop hub (thanks for wasting my money, my corporate overlords on the old hard dock station and going with this new one that needs special cables). Oh, and thanks to my local BB store which HID these behind a service counter to push the more expensive versions on the sales floor.

It's a cable! And it works! Tip: If your graphics card has one displayport output and one or more HDMI outputs and you are connecting two or more monitors, then set up the monitor connected to the displayport first. Turn on the computer and check that everything works. Then connect the monitor(s) which are using the HDMI output. Do not connect all the monitors up at the same time. Especially true for AMD Radeon cards.
