After removing the $3 original wire antenna and hooking this powered antenna up the signal was actually worse. Not just worse, a lot worse. I moved it around to various positions within reason, high and near a window and it did not improve at all. Being a powered antenna it should have pulled the signal in stronger. Stations that indicated "stereo" on the receiver with the simple wire antenna no longer indicated "stereo" and the static was much more noticeable. Do not buy. This was a waste of time. I will be returning this product in the next day or so.

I returned it with no problem. All of my other purchases from Best Buy have been excellent.

Very Disappointing

It actually made the stations I was getting even worse. I currently just have speaker wire ran in the attic and it pulls in more stations than this powered antenna does. Stations that I was getting a full signal on with my simple wire would not even come in with this powered antenna. A big waste of money and very disappointing. Needless to say I am back to using my simple wire setup.

This antenna worked ok for most stations, but failed for 92.5 fm. It would cut in and out and was sensitive to my moving around the room. Plus, the two 75 ohm leads were really small and flimsy. Worse, when I took it back after 2 months, Best Buy refused to give me a refund. They said it's a 14 day return window. I got a pair of rabbit ears instead for half price from A** Hardware which work great!
