After a number of attempts, amplified, antenna only, with and without a digital converter box (DVR), I just couldn't get it to work. No signal. Antenna was returned.

I have it in a good place to receive a signal and 80% of the time most channels wont work. Channels will be there one day and gone the next. Do not recommend this!

It is easy to install and the use with my Samsung TV. The cord is too short to reach the window from the location of the TV so an extension cable is needed. It is a great deal for the price and saves so much money compared to cable.

I guess you need a tv that already had a "digital transformer" or something, but I'm not sure. All I know is I tried it on 2 different tv's, and got nothing. By the time I did all my trial and error, it was too late to return it. Overall, that sucks.
