Perfect to adapt an HDMI cable to DisplayPort at 1

Connect to DisplayPort on your tower (remember to use the graphic card output), connect your HDMI cable to the other end, and the HDMI cable to the TV/monitor and you’re good to go. If you need higher than 1080P, this is NOT the solution for you. You’ll want to purchase a DisplayPort to HDMI (male-to-male) cable that supports higher resolution. Pay close attention to the tech specs. You may have to look elsewhere.

My extra monitors are both HDMI. I was able to use this to covert to DP and then plug directly into the docking station. No need to buy new monitors or a different docking station.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a big OLED for everyday use, but also wanted to connect it to my PC for my desktop's movie/music libraries, gaming, etc. Unfortunately, my desktop's GPU had only 1 HDMI input (which I was using to connect my monitor) and 3 display ports I wasn't using. This adapter allowed me to connect the monitor to the PC using one of the display ports so I could take full advantage of using the GPU's HDMI port to connect to the TV. Now I can play everything on my desktop on my TV, and the resolution is STUNNING.

New monitors come with HDMI ports. Go figure. Hooking up two displays to a PC becomes a problem until you use a port adapter like this one. Inexpensive and easy to use.

Note though...I was wondering why it was more than $12 cheaper than the Insignia one, and it is because this one only supports up to 1920x1080 resolution.
