Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a big OLED for everyday use, but also wanted to connect it to my PC for my desktop's movie/music libraries, gaming, etc. Unfortunately, my desktop's GPU had only 1 HDMI input (which I was using to connect my monitor) and 3 display ports I wasn't using. This adapter allowed me to connect the monitor to the PC using one of the display ports so I could take full advantage of using the GPU's HDMI port to connect to the TV. Now I can play everything on my desktop on my TV, and the resolution is STUNNING.

I do wish it locked into my video card, but i haven't managed to accidentally pull one out, yet. Hard to complain about something that works as advertised.

My extra monitors are both HDMI. I was able to use this to covert to DP and then plug directly into the docking station. No need to buy new monitors or a different docking station.
