It completes its purpose. Each mount extends to fit your sound bar but it wont shrink to fit some of the smaller soundbars. If you choose to secure it from the bottom it comes with several screw sizes but securing it from the bottom forces the mounts to be pretty close together depending on your soundbar rather than being spaced into thirds like id prefer. I bought a different set from best buy that I prefered because the bar just dat on them so I could space it however id like but I couldn’t find them anywhere. Like I said though, they do there job and look fine

Thing is that it doesnt hold it tight enough. So dont put something on the edge of it it will fall. The plastic covers on the top front edges dont stay in place, you have to use super glue so u dont have to lose them.

It was easy to install and relatively straightforward in directions. Overall this is a decent item to buy however I would probably recommend purchasing one for your specific model of soundbar as this option can look quite bulky on certain types of soundbars.
