It does it all. Tilts, extends, etc. The only reason for the 1 lowered star, is that my TV needs M4 screws in a 12mm length and though the kit comes with a plethora of screws sizes and lengths, this common size was not included. The M4 that it came with was a 20mm length, so, either purchase a $20 set of screws from Best Buy or run to your local hardware store for a $2 pack of M4-12mm. As for the tilt, it was stiff at first and I almost thought it was defective but once I got everything mounted up, it tilted fine. After all, you want it stiff so it stays in position.

It is sturdy and extends in and out well. You can angle it pretty well too as shown in the BestBuy images. It did take a little while to install the mount in the wall. I wish the wall screws had slots in the head, so a screwdriver or power drill could be used.
