Pretty good, worth the money

Somewhat to my surprise, it mostly fixed the problem. It wasn't perfect--if it was, I'd throw in an extra star, but I can now play DVDs that I couldn't before. There are a few DVDs that still can't be read. Well worth the money, as far as I'm concerned. Considerably less than buying a new player, considering that the old one doubles as a VCR.

Misplaced it, so bought this one -- but didn't read the product information on the package so didn't learn that is is only to be used on CD players that have a tray-load system, not one where you slide the disc in...I'll keep this one for when the older machine needs help again.

New life to my Blu-ray disc player

This saved me from having to buy a new Sony Blu-Ray player. My Sony UBPX800M2 player refused to play any Blu-ray discs and I thought I was going to have to buy a new player, but this disc solved the problem in less than five mins.

My first step was to try one of my other players and they ALL had the same issue, so I decided to purchase this because I still play physical discs. The directions where easy to follow. After use, I popped in a blu-ray and nothing, so I recleaned my player. Still no go. I then tried it on one of my other players and viola, it played! As it turned out, the HDMI port on my receiver had malfunctioned! I switched to a different HDMI input on my receiver and all was right in the universe. I can say that after use, blu-rays looks spectacular and even DVDs look better than I remember. I had previously NEVER used a lens cleaner on ANY of my disc players, the oldest one I bought in the 80s which I still use and have never had any issues with but now that I have this, I will use it monthly.

I was very frustrated over doing the cleaning in English and wasted an entire evening of more than 5 hours thinking I was running the cleaning in French - no, I managed to get it done in English the next morning and it took just a few minutes.
