    This product does exactly what is was designed to do. It is without question well made, priced fairly, and with new architectures popping up all the time. Manufacturers have stepped to fill the gap with devices that we need to do things as simple as charge a battery.

    I used this adapter to test two 4 port Nvidia video cards both installed in the same computer, moving it from port to port. It performed perfectly, immediately displaying the output of the port as soon as I plugged it in.

    I used this for a little bit when I had my MacBook! Works great if you have the mini display port. No Need to buy any apple product because these are 1/4 to 1/2 the price of it and it is the same product without the branding.

    This adapter is easy to plug into your MacBook's Mini DisplayPort. As this is just the adapter, make sure you have an HDMI as well so you will be able to plug it into a TV or other HMDI compatible monitor (also make sure you actually have the Mini DisplayPort on your device or else this is useless). This was only $9 and I prefer this over the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI "CABLE" as I already have extra HDMI cables. Overall it works great, there is no audio/visual delay when plugged in (may be slight input delay so I would not recommend trying to use this to game on a bigger monitor), and this is excellent for watching movies and YouTube.

    I was surprised to learn that I couldn't just add a coupler to extend my existing 3' long Thunderbolt to HCMI cable to a longer HDMI cable. This adapter allows me to plug in a longer HDMI cable and feed directly to my TV. It works perfectly on my mid-2012 Macbook Pro.
