    For those of us who still have older computers with a Mini Display Port, this adapter is a no-brainer. I have a 2012 Macbook Pro with the Mini Display Port and I have no problems connecting this adapter to a monitor's HDMI port. This was a good deal.

    I bought this online, picked it up in the store, and immediately returned it after reading the box in the parking lot. Max resolution is 1080p. Maybe that's enough for what you have going on, but it wasn't enough for me. I returned this one and got the other one in the store that goes up to 4K @ 30fps.

    Need to unplug it from my MacBook Air, then change the TV to the correct input for the hdmi cable, then plug this adapter into the MacBook Air. Otherwise the monitor on the laptop just goes black. Other than that, works as expected. Great!

    Just what I needed. My iMac Screen went out and this adapter let me connect an external monitor. I was able to keep using my computer till I can replace it with a new one. Should work with any Mac with a mini display port.

    I have been using my laptop during the last several years to give presentations. Using the HDMI cable to connect laptop to projector has been the norm until I start using the Surface that equipped with the mini Display port. The Best Buy essentials Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter together with my Surface has been the best combination to solve many issues including weight, convenience and cost.
