Good deal for older MacBook Pros

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro with the Mini Display Port and I have no problems connecting this adapter to a monitor's HDMI port. This was a good deal.

Max resolution is 1080p. Maybe that's enough for what you have going on, but it wasn't enough for me. I returned this one and got the other one in the store that goes up to 4K @ 30fps.

Otherwise the monitor on the laptop just goes black. Other than that, works as expected. Great!

The price makes it a suitable alternative and there is no sacrifice in quality. If you need MDP - HDMI, save some bucks, get this one.
