We called the customer service and not able to get a brand new one to replace. This was the sixth filter we got from BestBuy and we were very disappointed !!

You get 2 filters for less than one from the manufacturer. they even give you reminder stickers to let you know when to replace. They last 6 months each filter.

But I replace mine every January & July. The price has creeped up somewhat over the past couple years (but what hasn"t?) but it'still very reasonably priced.
