I have a Samsung model RFG237AARS side by side refrigerator. The original filter model is Samsung DA29 0003G. The last time I was able to buy the original from Amazon was October 2024. I purchased a filter from an alternate site and it did not twist in securely like the genuine filter. The notches on the filter is clearly off. Though it claimed to be a genuine filter, the authentication label did not pass. I’m saying this to be weary of those who claim “genuine”. With the original, I can hear a swish sound and align the arrows with a 3/4 twist. With the alternate filter I previously bought along with this Best Buy Essentials brand, the filters barely twist in and there is no loud swishing sound or alignment of arrows. I will keep the latter because the taste of the water is better than that of the former. There is no aftertaste. I really don’t know how much this filter is cleaning the water but it does taste better than tap water.

Great Samsung water filter.easy to install and easy to get to without taking apart the whole fridge.I get clear drinking water and the ice is clear.

Fits perfectly in my fridge and I taste no difference from the Samsung filters. Will definitely be buying these from now on since they are much more cost effective.

For my 12-13 old Samsung fridge, finding filters that will fit properly is getting tougher. This filter has the same shape of the “locking collars” that the old original Samsungs had. The new Samsung oem filters for quite a number of years haven’t fit because they changed the shape of the locking collars. Pretty dumb that original equipment won’t work. This fit perfectly and install easily. These replaced the old Best Buy Insignia brand I used to buy.

Excellent cost effective replacement for Samsung refrigerator water filter. In our 2 person household these last 3-4 months, and the refrigerator is our primary source of drinking water. They appear to have fixed the previous fit issue.

This worked as well as the one with the same brand name as the refrigerator. It was much easier to install and seemed to work just well. The filter water tasted like that from the other filter. I would purchase it again if available.

Getting hard to find the NSF 42/53 filters for Samsung refrigerator. Seems Samsung changed the fittings on the new filters & no longer attach to my older fridge. Finally this one fit!! Hope Best Buy keeps this in stock,

I have been buying this for my old RF266AEBP samsung fridge. The newer samsung filters don't fit my fridge anymore, but this one always has. It also is better then the samsung filter as this one is NSF 53. I really only ever buy this filter for my fridge now.

It works! Easy to install. Tried a genuine Samsung filter, and as others expressed, the newly designed ones do NOT fit. Samsung not having a filter that fits their Samsung fridge is really not a good business decision in my opinion. How is a person supposed to use only genuine parts if the manufacturer does not make the parts so they will fit! Only issue----had to order the filter as my local Best Buy did not have it in stock.
